“perfect prague hotel”

What a fabulous getaway weekend thanks to the Hotel Josef and their staff! It was in the perfect location within walking distance to everything. The staff was unbelievable. We would go back just for them. :)

“Czech In to the Hotel Josef while in Prague”

When you czech in to the Hotel Josef, you cannot help but be struck by the stunning modern decor, sleek glass and plexiglass fixtures and furnishing. It's a gorgeous hotel with a beautiful lobby and clean, cozy lovely rooms. What makes the Hotel Josef more than a gorgeous hotel, is the warm, welcoming and helpful staff that inhabits the lobby and front desk. The bellmen, Frank and Mohammed are so friendly and willing to help. They will do anything to make sure you don't have to lift a finger. The front desk people were so accommodating and helpful. Felipe, Eva, Kristina, Tolu were incredibly hospitable and warm. They always gave us great suggestions for restaurants, tourist information, exchanging money, where to shop, etc. I've never stayed in a hotel with a nicer staff. After a long day of sightseeing, coming back to the hotel everyone wanted to know about our day. They really were caring and it felt like "coming home". The hotel rooms are well appointed with robes, umbrellas, charger adaptors for electronics, Aveda shower products, hairdryers and safes. They have a library of videos that you can borrow free of charge, and the staff will even bring popcorn to your room if you ask for it! Treat yourself to the incredible breakfast buffet. This hotel is a gem!!!

“Good hotel for a fair price”

Very nice hotel. Modern and high tech style. Lots of glass - rooms are good and clean. A little bit tiny but OK to sleep. The Deluxe room does have a good espresso machine. The breakfast is great. Wifi works fine. A good example of the good hotel for a fair price.

“Fantastic friendly and immaculate hotel”

Extremely friendly staff with lots of info!!! Hotel was immaculate through out!! Rooms where well finished with ga great bathroom, everything down to extra staff for check in/out times to the complimentary tea/coffe/juice and lemon ice water at the check in desk!! Only a short walk to the Old Town Square. If we go back to Prague, we will definitely be staying there again!!

“Great trendy hotel and great location”

Very trendy and clean. Bathroom was great! Breakfast was great!! Coffee,water, tea and biscuits served In the lobby in the morning for those running out. Location is wonderful, walking distance to the main square where the clock is. Overall very good!!

“Great hotel in the Jewish Quarter”

Very nice hotel! My boyfriend and I stayed there for NYE, it has an excellent location in the Old Town, you can walk anywhere from here. The breakfasts are delicious, albeit a little expensive (it didn't come with my reservation). From the moment we walked in we were greeted by their friendly bartender and receptionists (all English speaking), and treated with the utmost respect. The rooms were well lit, and everything was so clean! I especially liked their mattresses, so comfortable. They have lists of recommended locations to eat, shop, whatever, and even offer a jogging route. The gym is better than your average hotel gym, and has a sauna as well. Parking is expensive, at 660 KC for 24 hours. I would definitely stay here again the next time I come to Prague, which I hope is sometime soon!

“Modern hotel in a historic city”

For my first trip to Europe I wanted to be certain I had a hotel that would meet my needs. The Hotel Josef was that place for me. Though I am not a fan of modern architecture, I appreciated the clean lines of the room furnishings and the modern bathroom. The entire floor we were on was non-smoking, often difficult to find in Europe. My only complaint about the room is that most of the outlets in the room were not well suited for use with a converter. There were two plugs that had nothing blocking them, and both were just above the floor with no table nearby to place the items being charged. I had to charge my phone by leaving on the floor next to the door. That is the only reason for a 4 out of 5 mark for the comfort of the room. The staff was very helpful. Everyone spoke English and we were able to get good suggestions for restaurants. I ordered a car to take me to the airport - very easy process. No worries about getting into the business center to check e-mails or print boarding passes. An umbrella in the room was a welcome and needed surprise. It rained most of the days I was in Prague (didn't detract a bit from the beauty of the city). A few blocks from Old Town Square. Great for 1st time visitors to Prague.
