“Reasonable and walking distance to downtown area”

While service doesn't seem to be top priority at this hotel, it seems to be a cultural thing. Half of the staff didn't understand English, but they helped as best as they could. The hotel is off the beaten path but walking distance to the main downtown area. Great bar called Bar Bar across the alley - surprisingly good local eats! Pretty clean room, decent bathroom and large for a European hotel. Nice medieval dining room and the free breakfast has a nice variety of offerings.

“Good hotel in great location”

This is a nice, clean and well kept hotel. The hotel is in a great central location that has easy walking access to all the main attractions (The Castle, Old Town, ect). The staff was nice and even had our luggage sent up the next morning after Air France left it in Paris. The nightly turn down service was a nice touch and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was a nice size (for Euro standards) and the bathroom clean and tidy. When we return to Prague the BW Kampa will be our choice.

“medieval charm”

great decor in the hotel if you're into medieval knights and swords. close to many sights and situated on a quiet street. rooms were just okay and breakfast wasn't bad. for the price, i can't complain.

“OK value for money (but not cheap)”

The most attractive aspect of this old but reasonably well maintained hotel is its very quiet location in the Mala Strana quarter; close to Charles Bridge and tram transport. Reception personnel changes constantly and ranges from cordial (they let us choose among 3 rooms) to slightly brusque. Our amply sized room (326) had a new bathroom and faced a park, but the chairs were uncomfortable and needed new upholstery. Breakfast buffet is generous but is served in a faux and very kitsch "gothic" dining hall. Wireless internet is available.

“Nice vacation on a budget”

It's a small oldf hotel right off Charles bridge in Marla strana. 5 minutes walk to Charles bridge but rooms a bit small and worn out, very clean and friendly though
