Excellent location, in the heart of the Old TownPosted May 14, 2014
Cons: Room confort
Location: Plenty of restaurants and bars. 5 minutes walt from the Old Town Square and City Hall
Excellent location, in the heart of the Old Town. I would call it rather a Bed & Breakfast, than a hotel, as room comfort is just OK. However cleanness is perfect and staff are nice.

Excellent Location & Superb StaffPosted Nov 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
We knew we had booked a hotel close to the main square in Prague, but it was a surprise to know that it was barely a 2 min walk there. We were right in the middle if the tourist attraction.. Located in a quiet alley near the Astronomical clock, King Goerge is a very clean nicely maintained a warm place to stay. the Kitchen staff though cant speak English , were very friendly, In fact the day we left, early morning, they also packed us sandwiches and fruits for our journey. And we didn't even ask for it.. Its a must stay place for anyone who wants to be in Prague and stay close to the attractions. The hotel wasnt easy to find at first, but we managed. They should post a nice detailed map for all the visitors, so it becomes easy to locate it.
Service is non-existent. Terrible experience.Posted Dec 28, 2012 on Hotels.com
I had booked this hotel online because it seemed ideal - good location, breakfast included and a mini fridge and an in-room safe, along with "free wifi". In reality, upon check in, I found that the hotel "lobby" was outside, there is no front desk or service. the staff DO NOT SPEAK A WORD OF ENGLISH, there was no elevator, and they do not accept any type of card for payment [CASH ONLY]. Among this, the toilet in my room was dirty, there was no mini fridge or in room safe as promised, the "free wifi" was actually a computer located in the restaurant that was set to czech republic language and setting, and the restaurant was only open a few hours of the day, so it was hardly ever accessible. The cherry on the cake was the staff were never around when you needed them. They were not helpful at all. I ended up leaving the hotel an hour after checking in and going to a different one around the corner with much better service. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE

Great location but spoiled by the noisePosted Nov 4, 2012
Pros: Location and friendly welcome
Cons: Noisy club in basement
Location: Great location very close to Charles Bridge, shops and restaurants
We have stayed here several times before and the location is ideal, the hotel has changed hands and from the street it looks quite run down. The welcome was excellent and we had a large nicely set up room. Breakfast was typical and quite good. The problem was the noise from the cellar blues club which on one night kept us awake till around 4 am. This may be fine for some of the younger visitors who may be down there enjoying the club but it did spoil our stay. We also found out on arrival that payment had to be in cash not by card which could be a problem for some people
Stayed here in OctoberPosted Oct 17, 2012 on Hotels.com
The room was great, we had #10 which it the one in the pictures with all of the exposed wooden beams on the ceiling. The hotel claims there is wireless in the rooms, but it was not working at all the three days we were there. Also, the staff in the main area speak Czech and German, but it is difficult to communicate in English. Food was good, location was excellent.

Not good hotelPosted Sep 27, 2012
Location: The only good thing about this hotel is location
No telephone at the reception and no security. Very bad "dead" smell in the room, apparently from previous guests, even wanted to go to other hotel.. bought odor deodorant, aroma candles and oranges just to eliminate this crappy smell

The hotel is very beautifyl and clean and is closed to the heart of historical Prague. The only problem was that at the reception no one could speak English. If you know Russian or Czeck you will be fine in this very pretty hotel. Otherwise you may not be able to communictae fully with the staff. But the straff were kind to us and I am happy to stay another time in this hotel.
