Awesome experiencePosted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Unbeatable experience. Was given two room options. Heated tiles in the bathroom.
Cons: I am a little too picky about towels. Maybe for 95% of people those would be fine, but for me could be a little better.
Location: Super easy transportation using the Tram 22 to every major point around the city. Couldn't recommend more...
There is no way that you can beat the experience of staying in a former monastery compares to any big hotel chain. Tip: Ask the staff (super friendly and willing to help) to go on the back. There are 2 benches where you can watch the sunset over Prague, beautiful view and specially for free for the guests.

Monastery hotel, Prague, Czech RepublicPosted Jan 20, 2014
Pros: Excellent service!
Cons: The heater was not very strong and the shower could use a curtain instead of an accordion door to preclude from letting water out to the floor.
Location: Nice restaurant pub next door with great food and their own micro brewery beers.
The hotel was a little difficult to find initially, but it was well worth the find! An excellent hotel with amazing service.

Beautifull setting,quiet,scenic,peacefull.Posted Nov 30, 2013
Superb pleasant peacefull, scenic surroundings, within a 15minute walk to the center of prague. The hotel staff were excellent. We were provided with an id key to enter the hotel any time day or night. Rooms and bathroom clean, daily towel change. Breakfast superb selection and quality.

Very nice staff, lovely views and good breakfast. We were not told that reception was only open until 7 pm and our 'plane was later than that. We did not know the room was on 2 levels. The stairs were steep for older people with low ceiling height.

Unique hotelPosted Nov 10, 2013
Pros: I liked the quiet location. Located on the hill provides great views. if you want to be in the center of night life, this is not the hotel for you
Cons: I don't mind that there are no elevators but this could be an issue with other travelers
Location: Near Prague Castle. Tram is nearby to bring you to the city center.
I would definitely stay here again. It is not your traditional hotel. Hotel staff was great. Stephan was welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. The grounds of the monastery were awesome. Their breakfast was delicious, filling and nutritious.

Hotel MonasteryPosted Sep 27, 2013
The hotel is in a wonderful position overlooking the city and there is a pleasant downhill walk to the main city. The actual building is fantastic and we were very pleased with our room. The hotel staff were always helpful and courteous and the breakfasts were also good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others planning to stay in Prague.

Great location lovely hotelPosted Aug 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Really enjoyed this hotel and its location, the room which was on the third floor and was split level , the main living area was comfy clean and very spacious, the sleeping area on an upper level was also very bright and clean but with being in the loft area of the building had limited head space around the sides of the bed. Being in the monastery grounds the location was a bit special with glorious surroundings and views. The only down side to this hotel is that there is no lift which meant by the end of our stay, the daily climb up the hill from the city coupled with climbing the stairs to our room left our legs rather tired and carrying our case down to the ground floor a bit of a struggle. Would definitely go back!

Charming hotel, Excellent location, friendly staffPosted Jul 6, 2013
We had an excellent stay at the Monastery, no complaints whatsoever. The setting in the Strahov Monastery is inspiring (as well as quiet), it is a short walk down the hill to the Charles Bridge, around the corner from the Castle. There is a tram stop across the street as well, which takes you in the Old City in a couple minutes. The hotel breakfast can be taken in their small garden, and there are various dining options in the monastery as well as in the neighborhood. Getting to/from the airport is somewhat complicated via public transportation; we took a taxi and (happily) were not charged an exorbitant rate (as we had been warned to watch out for). The hotel staff was always helpful in answering our questions and making recommendations. Highly recommended.

Unique hotel with awsome view!Posted Jul 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was very comfortable with an awesome view of Prague. The only negative was the early morning bells from the monestary. Still, we would very gladly return.
