nothing specialPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
poor customer service, busy street next to hotel is nothing, airplains were landing every 3 min over our heads. Room was clean but very stuffy no aircondition. Radio from restaurant was loud even late at night. When we arrived there was only one type of beer, and barman was very rude.

Nice hotel.Posted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Be careful buying dinner. Our waiter kept the change without being offered then. You are put in the awkward situation of seeming mean when you ask for your change. I wouldn't mind but there was approximately 10 euros change and the meal only cost 30. Very cheeky.

A convenient hotelPosted Aug 3, 2013
Pros: Convenient. Free internet and free breakfast.
Cons: The window could be fulled opened.
Location: This hotel is far away from the city. There is a restaurant in the hotel, so you can eat in the hotel.
The hotel is 5 minutes of walk distance to the bus stop (179) to the airport and the train (No.9) to the old town and new town areas. Free wi-fi access and free breakfast were offered. It's a good place to stay. However, there is no air-conditioner in room and the window is quite small and could not be dully opened. No elevator available for customers.

No frills, reasonable value for money.Posted May 3, 2013
Pros: Close to the tram line, which is cheap and efficient.
Cons: Too many bad points.
Location: Far out of town away from everything.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was quaint and looked quite nice. The breakfast was nothing special, but was passable. The room I booked was spacious, it was a single room and was clean and tidy. Only 2 hangers in the wardrobe and a small TV which only had Chez and German channels, the sheet did not fit very well, nor did the quilt cover. The room was cleaned every day, but only the rubbish picked up from the side where I had put it and the bathroom cleaned. No bed made or anything like that. I could also hear the trams as they passed, which run quite regularly, are quite loud and run through the night. Central Prague is a fair distance from the hotel, fifteen minutes to get to the edge of the city and if you want to get to the very touristy part expect to get dropped off after 25 minutes and have to walk about 10 minutes. The tram service in Prague is very good though. It was value for money, but do not expect too much. I personally did like it and would stay again, but I would explore other options before booking this one.

From bad to worsePosted Apr 14, 2013
First problem with this hotel is that the address information is incorrect - the pizza restaurant that's actually at the address is so used to lost tourists, they actually find it entertaining when people arrive with their luggage. Reception staff when we checked in was horrible, worst service in three years of travelling Europe. She tried to tell us that our room wasn't paid for and insisted on arguing with me about it, despite my showing here my proof of payment and credit card e-statement. Then she tried to charge us for the internet, despite the fact that it was included with our room. The worst of this woman was that when we tried to make arrangements for a taxi the next morning, she advised us that it would be 550 and that we had to pay her!! We had asked the previous cab driver and he said it should be no more than 300 from there to the airport. The room was clean enough but it smelled like it had been cleaned with diesel - it smelled absolutely foul - we had to leave the room for over an hour, with the window open, before I could go back in to it. And that was still unbearable after that. The restaurant had only four selections for food and it wasn't until after we had eaten that the waiter told us they wouldn't accept credit cards (despite the signs on the hotel doors) or let us charge it to the room. Add into the equation that there is absolutely nothing around for miles and the TV didn't work and it all made for a horrific stay.

Quality corresponds to the pricePosted Apr 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is located close to the tram station (5min.) and the bus to the airport(10 min.). Center is approx. 30 min. by tram. Hotel is just by the main road. Unfortunately noise from the outside is very disturbing and you can hear every tram and car. There is a very fast internet at the room. Personal is not very friendly, very poor choice on breakfast, and nobody clean the room.

Very nice for the pricePosted Sep 20, 2012
Pros: friendly staff and nice guests
Cons: No heating in the room
Location: The location isn't the greatest if you wan't to visit a nearby store. I suggest you get everything you need before you get to the hotel unless driving
Hotel Stary Pivovar was a pleasant stay. The staff was warm and very friendly and the rooms were nice and clean as well as everything else. My only complaints are that the rooms didn't have heat in mid September and the walk from the tram is a bit of a walk, especially if you are carrying luggage. Other than that, the Hotel Stary Pivovar was a grat place to visit

Myself and my girlfriend found the hotel to very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Prague. The hotel is some way from the centre of Prague, but it only took about 15 minutes to get to the centre by tram and the tram stop is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the only bad point is that you can hear the traffic outside but we had no problem in getting to sleep at night. The breakfast in the morning was also quite good with a good variety/
