Nice hotel, good for pricePosted Oct 1, 2013
Location: Five minutes taxi into town or 10-15min walk, metro very close also.
We stayed here for 3 nights, the rooms are spacious and the beds actually very comfortable. The hotel staff were helpful and always booked us taxis, arranged activities for us etc. For a cheap ish hotel it is very good.

Fair price, good breakfast, walking distance to olPosted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel staff was friendly, breakfast was good. It is a 30 minute walk to old town, but 10 minutes by the Metro.

Close to Metro and easy access to city centerPosted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location was great for us. The room was tiny, but livable. It was clean. The staff was courteous and helpful. The continental breakfast the hotel provides was good. The biggest problem was the other guests. They had a group of noisy students for all but one day of our stay. Noise from the hall carried and the students were polite but disrupted our sleep. They were loud and came in at 4:00 every morning.

Got half of what we expected...Posted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Above average cleanliness. Location.
Cons: Behavior of the staff. Breakfast.
Location: Try out the local restaurants in the streets nearby and a disc called, Retro Music Hall (really awesome). Also got a TV tower nearby, worth a visit.
Hotel was conveniently located close to a metro station and wasn't too hard to find. The hotel in itself however was astoundingly different from the pictures uploaded especially the room and the breakfast lounge ( if you can call it that). The receptionist first day, Ms. Lenka, was exceptionally unwelcoming and unhelpful and for the first few hours almost made me regret my choice of this hotel. The room was small and since we had requested a triple room, had an extra bed cramped up into a room barely big enough for two. The washroom was small and wi-fi signal was available only in one corner of the room. House keepng was satisfactory and changed our sheets and towels on a daily basis. Days after the first were a little better with more warm and helping receptionists replacing Ms. Lenka on duty and had no bad experiences after that. Stay was alright, breakfast was just about average with only a handful of options to choose from. Would recommend this hotel only if you have no other options available.

a VERY SMALL 4 starsPosted Aug 18, 2013
Cons: A very unpleasant receptionist on the first day
Our first impression was really very negative. A young woman on reception desk was not friendly at all. She sends us to the room which was not cleaned. No word of apology, no explanation. On my question about the situation an only answer was: ‘’Don’t shout on me'' despite my very calm and posed voice. Finally we were given another room, but the first impression is difficult to change. Other receptionists were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very decent. As to cleaning, it would be nice if the staff pay attention to the mildew stains in the shower.

Nice hotel for a good price. Not so close to town.Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Good price. Free breakfast and internet.
Cons: Rooms need air conditioning or a fan.
Location: Supermarkets very close, but most of the sightseeing things are a little ways away.
This is a nice hotel for a decent prize, but it is about 2 miles from most of the things to see and do in Prague. There is a metro station very close by though. The staff answered questions if asked, but all in all there were not very friendly. Free breakfast and internet was a huge plus. Only negative is that the rooms were not equipped with air conditioning or a fan. We were on the first floor so we couldn't quite leave the windows open and the room was quite hard to get a good night sleep in due to the heat.

Great restaurant nearby, terrible servicePosted Aug 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was reported as a four star hotel, but that must be a self rating. Some of the staff were lovely and helpful but the young regular day staff member was so rude that it overshadowed the rest. Didn't greet us when entering or leaving, didn't smile at all (except for laughing at us when they forgot to restock the toilet paper in the room), was on her mobile the entire time pretty much, said that the hotel didn't do dry cleaning when the first staff member (who was very nice) told us that the hotel did. Just plain lazy. The rooms were quite nice with a minibar (which wasn't restocked each day unfortunately) and opening windows, no aircon but did have a fan. There is some work occurring as of late July 2013 so the parking lot is out of action but no worries due to the proximity to the train station, v handy there. Breakfast included and has enough variety to fill you up, although other hotels have had better spreads. All in all, a nice hotel with one lousy staff member but the local restaurant with the Sous Vide duck breast for about 250Kc (less than 10€/$12.5AUD) made up for that. So many other great things on that menu too. P. S. Prague taxis have not gotten any better. Paid 680Kc for 10 Min trip, our fault for not researching the exchange rate and standard fares. Have your hotel book a transfer in advance. Still more expensive than standard rates but only about 150Kc from the train station to Hotel Taurus.
