"Beautiful apartment in great location for old-town"
Stayed for 3 nights September 2014.
Well what can I say but I could quite happily live here... This place just felt 'homely' from the moment you walked in the door. We also stayed in Rome, Milan and Vienna and this place was by far our favourite. A really handy booklet was on the kitchen table with lots of useful information. Very friendly staff too.
The apartment was light & bright, and made clever use of it's space. The washing machine was a lifesaver haha, and as the apartment got quite warm during the day our washing dried quickly. Open the windows when you get in and a few minutes later the place was cool again. Very comfortable indeed.
On arrival there was already dishwashing liquid, a laundry tablet, shower gels, honestly anything you need (except food) was there so that you weren't left stuck if you needed to get something done or just have a coffee (sachets) before taking a walk to the Tesco supermarket.
It's perfectly located for sightseeing, you're at the Astronomical Clock & Old Town Square in about 3 minutes... Charles Bridge was about 5 mins. Quite close to Staromestska metro stop, but you'll want access to a map the first time you go there as you can't see it from the apartment and have to dog-leg up a couple of streets to get there.
Check in is down a street called Retezova - walk down it until you see an archway with "U Kunstatu" written at the top, walk through the arch, and the glass door straight ahead is the one you need. Hope this helps!

Our family really enjoyed five days in Alt Pension in May. Both us and our children (3,5 and 1,5) were satisfied with accommodation, location ad very friendly owners. We took advantage from location outside city center, because we wanted to explore also some places near Prague which are family oriented (i.e. Farm Botanicus, castle Berchtold, Mirakulum, farm Blanik). Accommodation was very clean, we had a room with small kitchen. Finaly we did not use it, because dinners were really very tasty, also for our children. There is pretty big garden with playground and another one is just two minutes by walk. Perfect for small children. I would definitely reccommend this pension for young families.

Fantastic residence for family of 4, centrally located, stunning quality period finishes to the apartment. Only downside is lack of lifts but this is also a plus as the residence maintains its period character this way. If you're at or near the top floor you better have strong arms!

We spent our last night at the Lokal Inn because our previous hotel was full for our 4th night in Prague. To our surprise, we had the top level room #33 which was a lovely beamed suite--even a view of the Charles Bridge Tower. We cannot say enough about the room, the great front desk service and the restaurant! That pork neck schnitzel was the best schnitzel I've had in my life! Wow, you must stay here!

So many positives to say about this place. There was 6 of us that stayed in the Luxury attic apartment on Wencelas Square. Its spacious, homely, clean, has all the facilities you need, towels provided also at no cost.. for €190 for 2 nights in the apartment was just an incredible price!
We arrived quite early, we asked for our luggage to be stored until check in but the room was ready for us at midday, brilliant! We took advantage of the late 3pm check out for 600CZK (roughly £20-22) then they also held our luggage until we were heading to the airport later that evening.
The area is just perfect on Wencelas Square, right on the street with all the shops/ restaurants. We didn't bother with the trams at all because everything is within walking distance & you'd miss all the lovely buildings if you didn't go down all the small streets!
Would stay here again without a shadow of a doubt, the staff were incredibly helpful with everything! Did not want to leave!
