“Great Prague Hotel”

good location to all major tourist spots; friendly staff, wifi access; on-street parking for 15 Euro seems a bit much. Good value for the money

“Great hotel with great staff”

We really enjoyed the location. Quiet but a short walk to everything. Staff was very attentive. Rooms very comfortable and beautifully appointed.

“Great value.”

I tend to stay a bit closer to the center when travelling alone, but would definitely stay here again when travelling with friends. Only a 15 minute walk from the Old Town Square made it a great value. Plus the beds were comfy and the bathroom absolutely beautiful. High marks!

“Lovely hotel”

Everything was very nice, my only quibble being the cost of food and drink at the hotel. Since I had lived in Prague and knew the neighborhood, cheap, delicious food and beverage were easily found. The breakfast in the hotel was around twenty bucks each, and a sandwich was $15, outrageous in Prague. Of course I have learned not to eat where I stay, but the $5 bottle of beer was kinda ridiculous when you can get 5 big cans at the store around the corner.Also, we had a great pizza and two big mugs of beer ay Corleones up by Smichov mall for under $10!

Anywhere around Old Town but not in it, especially by Wenslaus square.

“Christmas in Prague”

My wife and I took a weekend trip to Prague to enjoy the Christmas season. Situation just on the west side of the river, the location was perfect for us. After a 20-minute, picture-perfect walk we were in Old Town. The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. Avoid the $15/person breakfast buffet. Wasn't the best European breakfast I've had. Did breakfast the second morning at Slavia Kavarna. Fantastic! The little bar in the hotel is quaint and cozy. Overall the hotel was convient and comfortable. I'd definitely stay again!

Old Town - tons to do and see.
When to go
Christmastime. The town squares are full of Christmas markets with all sorts of Christmas goodies. Despite it being frigid, people were out in droves. Can't imagine what Prague is like in the summer.

“Wonderful,”

Great breakfasts, quiet location, beautiful river views, well located. A bit out of the way and on the fringe of the tourist spots but easy walking distance to everything as well as public transportation. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

“A beautiful hotel in beautiful Prague”

We stayed four nights in Hotel Malmaison Riverside in Prague . Everything was top grade , marvelous. This is our hotel in Prague if and when we go back again and if they have the possibility to reserve a room for us.

Area recommendations
We were in Prague in 1970 for a technical congress . At that time Prague was a beautiful but a sad city. We felt very sorry , my wife had a headache most of the time . After 40 years the beauty is still there , enhanced . The Old City , the Castle area , Malostrana , Smychov .... almost wherever you go it is beautiful ... but never miss bringing your eyes back on the Vltava with it's bridges . ( And be careful with the taxi drivers )
Dining
We have been in fairly good restaurants at various price levels in Prague . But we have enjoyed very much a simple lunch and a dinner at the small KRCMA restaurant. It is on the first street left ( watch the Pilsner Urquell signs ) when you walk on Paryci avenue from the sqaure towards the Old Synagogue . Try the Roast Duck and especially Fried Cheese plates . Your wallet will not feel it !
