The most pleasant experience was from the hotels restaurant - top food and top service. We're pleasantly surprised to get Indian food as required . South Indian food for breakfast !!! What more can an Indian vegegetarian person want ???the spa was very expensive and did not go again . Reception / concierge all very helpful.

Beautiful hotel for a long weekendPosted Apr 7, 2013
Pros: The restaurant is great.
Location: Great location very near to the river and the Charles Bridge.
This is a beautiful hotel on the site of a former monastery and it retains a feeling of calmness and tranquility thanks to the simple Oriental Mandarin style. Obviously not cheap but well worth it for a few days of pampering in a fabulous city.

The premier address in PraguePosted Feb 13, 2013
Pros: Style, comfort, and an amazing staff.
Location: Great location, within easy walking distance of all major tourist sites, as well as lots of restaurants and shopping.
Nearly perfect. Staff is impeccable. Hotel is understated and overwhelming, having been built on a 14th century monastery. The restaurant (and room service) are top notch -- never experienced better. The breakfast buffet and a la carte menus are unique and spectacular, but not enough to keep you coming back everyday. This is primarily because there are so many wonderful restaurants nearby. The spa is among the finest I have seen, especially in regard to the spa staff. They are absolutely top notch. This is an absolutely world class hotel, but it also comes at world class prices. Be prepared.

Beautiful way to experience PraguePosted May 5, 2012 on Hotels.com
It was perfect. Service impeccable...Staff very friendly and accomodating .Hotel location nice and quiet after hustle of Old Town over the Charles Bridge. Our room opening onto the garden courtyard was wonderful. Breakfast out doors daily equipped with a mother duck sitting on 12 eggs, and the ducklings making their appearence before our departure. The whole trip was a ten!

Relaxed, economical comfort away from the hurly burly.Posted Dec 7, 2011
Location: Little Quarter - for all the reasons above.
Prague's best hotel in a charming location conveniently located within 5 minutes walk of the iconic Charles Bridge and the old centre, in its own quiet but buzzing area. The hotel is a recently converted monastery with all the trimmings you would expect from a Mandarin Oriental Hotel, great staff, great comfort, great amenities, excellent breakfast.

lovely hotel but expensivePosted Jun 13, 2011 on Hotels.com
The hotel is a wonderful hotel, small though, unexpectedly so, but charming once you realise this. It is like an oasis. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is very expensive though and frequented by a lot of mature Americans which tends to put the pressure on to constantly tip. Being English tipping is not the norm and when charged a good price for something, definitely not deemed necessary. I would state this as a downfall as I hate the pressure of tipping, particularly after a very expensive treatment in the spa, being pushed to add another 30€ "just because" is not very relaxing. I strongly believe staff should be paid a good wage and clients not expected to top up the company's poor payment scheme. (Rant over!) Otherwise very central and good for seeing prague. The taxi from the train station should be 270 kuna - we were ripped off from the train station when we said the Manderin Oriental so be warned.

Nice placePosted Jun 17, 2010
The hotel was nice, rooms were pretty big for European standards, people were nice and helpful, the breakfast was great and the restaurant was super interesting. Good fitness facilities and good spa. It's only problem was the air conditioning that despite all attempts and instructions from the front desk did not work properly. For a 5 star hotel that is unacceptable. It was not only our room, because we had 2 rooms and the problem was the same on the 2nd room. Opening the window was not a good option since the roads are made of cobble stones and the cars make the noise impossible to sleep.

Excellent service and locationPosted Feb 24, 2010
The hotel had excellent service and was kept in excellent condition. The concierge had good suggestions for activities and was helpful with arranging everything. Breakfast was very good and the best part of the hotel was the central location to the Castle and Charles Bridge.
