Some of the reception staff were helpfull, but the breakfast staff were rude and abrupt; There was also no hot water for the shower in the morning.

Great transport links...but very walkable city
Posted Jan 31, 2012 on Hotels.com
Miss Sophie's is a quirky hotel, very minimalist. Spotlessly clean rooms which have a small fridge and free digital safe for your valuables. It also has free wifi, which seems to be a must for most travellers these days. The only let down for me was the 4 inch mattress on the bed, which I found to be very hard. I have stayed in hotels in the Far East, notorious for hard beds, that were far more comfortable than those at Miss Sophie's. That said, Miss Sophie's was in a convenient location less than 500 metres from Muzeum and Wenceslas Square. The nearest metro station I P Pavlova is less than 200 metres from the hotel. A TOP TIP: If you are staying for 72 hours, as we were, purchase your 3 day transport pass at the airport kiosk before you head into the city. It can ONLY be obtained at the airport, costs CZK 310 and saves a fortune because it covers buses, trams and metro. You have to activate it the first time you use it, by getting it stamped in the yellow machine (on trams and buses, or on the stands before you go down to the metro platform) after that you carry it with you at all times and can travel without any hassle at all...Brilliant!

Wonderful hotel

Fantastic hotel/hostel. From the moment we checked in we had a marvelous experience. We were taken over to our apartment (across the street) and it exceeded our expectations. We also booked in for breakfast both days during our two day stay. Cheap and delicious. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Prague.

High quality rooms in New Town Prague
Posted Jan 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
Miss Sophie's offered a pleasant stay in Prague away from the bustle of Old Town yet on Tram #22 route that goes to all the sights. Reception was very helpful and the breakfasts, while they cost extra, are well worth it. The staff are able to help with directions, reservations, lots of small details that make the stay easier. The rooms are small but very modern.

Great clean hostel
Posted Jan 23, 2012
Nice little hostel just out of the centre but close to the tram and metro and also the main train station. Air conditioning is controlled by the operator but rooms were kept at a good climate. One lady staff member in particular was exceptionally helpful - attractive brunette lady you know who you are, thank you. Only bad element was the pillows - big square European pillars that you can fold in quarters and still not comfortable... Sorry, worst pillows ever.

Good Stay
Posted Jan 10, 2012
Stayed in an apartment for 3 people. It was relatively big with a nice shower. No air con (despite the hotel website saying there is air con in each room), so it gets stuffy and hot. Nice breakfast for 170 Czech Crowns.

Great base for exploring Prague
Posted Jan 6, 2011
Location: We felt like we walked the whole of Prague, walking up the steps to the castle almost killed me. Visit the castle, bridge, old town, clock, the zoo is a must it flooded in 2002 and they have rebuilt it, to get in is around £6 and it was amazing. Also we visited the staropramen brewry for an interactive tour and free beer the guy here is amazing. Don't bother with the aquarium at the exhibition hall it is tiny and over priced, the museum of young artists was a load of crap the best display was the giant guns in the court yard the rest is borderline porn. The lennon wall is no longer lennon just graffiti and you get accosted by people trying to sell boat tours etc.
We chose this hotel as it apears as a boutique hotel, actually it is a bit of a mix it has dorm rooms on the ground floor, hotel rooms on the first & second floors then apartments as well. The hotel is so cool, the showers are amazing but as it is such an old building the sound proofing is almost non existant so take ear plugs. Reception are amazing we asked for extra pillows which they gave us asap, we forgot our phone charger & they lent us one. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The location is great you can get the metro, tube or walk to the main attractions from this hotel. There are some good places to eat & drink close by too.
