Excellent location in old townPosted Aug 2, 2013
Cons: The room was basic clean sheets , carpeting is old, lots of stairs to get to your room no elevator
Location: Your are in the center of old town. I do reccommend taking the free walking tours offer in the main square they last 2 hours, wear comfortable shoes
Great location, 2 minute walk to central plaza, short distance to the Charles bridge and main train station as well as a 2 minute walk to metro station

Perfect for anybody who wants to be in central PraPosted May 16, 2013
Pension Tara is in the centre of Prague, and is exactly where you want to be ie near all the main attractions like the National Opera House , the Charles bridge etc etc. wonderful. We also had a 20% discount on the restaurant downstairs, which was kind and allowed us to have a lovely breakfast there every morning.

Right near main attractions.Posted May 6, 2013
It is a short walk from train station and right near all the main attractions. It's clean, nothing fancy, but we like to spend our money on the sites and attractions vs. where we stay, so definitely recommended. The hotel staff was friendly and had a taxi arranged when we left for the airport, which was a big help.

You get what you pay forPosted Apr 27, 2013
Cons: A bit oldish
In the pension Tara you get what you pay for. The location is great, convenient and very central. And yet it is realtively cheap. So the rooms are very simple, a bit old, but basically clean, without TV, but ok wifi.

Great location! Right in the heart of it all...Posted Aug 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
Excellent location. Best spot in the city. Farmers market and great restaurants directly downstairs from the hotel. Only downsides would be the lack of elevator and air conditioning, but otherwise it was wonderful.

Clean close to attractions that about allPosted Jul 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
This place was cheap but you get what you pay for. When we arrived we found the office close. Luckily the restaurant out front was still open and they showed us where we needed to get our keys. The rooms were small but cosy although the bathroom left much to be desired. Our room was not serviced the second day that we were there. Also no A/C which is fine since the window provides enough air. Unfortunately it was extremely loud outside and we got very little sleep the three nights we were there. One good thing was the area the hotel is in is great. 10 minute walk from the train station and the Charles Bridge, 5 minutes from the Old Town Square, 15 to the castle. There is plenty to see and do in the area although next time I would pay more to stay in a nicer place since this was a step and only a same step above a hostel.

The Pension Tara was a fantastic choice for our trip to Prague. The location is amazing in terms of access to Wenseslas Square and nearby subway and metro stops. The rooms were very comfortable, the staff was very nice - overall, a great pick!
