Best location
Amazing location just minutes from the palace and cathedral in old town. We were able to walk everywhere. It is in the castle district and you can easily walk down to the bridge and across. The castle district is glorious but there are steep hills. I’d recommend this hotel for anyone who’s like to walk the city. We did not have to use any public transportation and saw most of Old town and the famous sites.

This hotel is the right price and gives you the ambience of the great city of Prague. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and perfectly charmed and comfortable. This is a great place to stay and the location is also great. Prague is under rated and a lovely city!

Historic, charming, surprisingly large rooms (for anywhere, but especially for Europe). Fantastic location - adorable street, quiet at night, 5 min from castle and 10 from Charles Bridge. Very tasty breakfast included.

the rooms were nice and clean, all the staff were friendly, the room was really big and the bed was comfortable, the hotel was only a few minute walk from the castle but probably about a 10 minute walk from the charles bridge, if you didnt want to walk up the steep hill you can get a 22 tram that gets you to the castle then you can walk through the castle grounds

Nice room, but i complained about a smell from the bathroom which seemed like a problem with the drains, The lady on the desk said she will mention it to the housekeeper the next day! anyhow I did not get any feedback regarding if the problem has been dealt with or an offer of another room! Also we asked for some more milk for coffee as we used the 4 little pods from previous Days and was told rudely we only get milk once and not entitled to anymore!! which I feel is a bit of a joke!! I wont be returning.

This Lobster will make you Green with envy.
Our room was huge. Stayed in room 102, a standard room, it was amazing. The bed was so comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the local area was great. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Honestly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, also the bottle of wine was a nice touch for my birthday. Room was huge and felt like we were in our own apartment.

Good spot to explore Prague from
Very nice hotel, picturesque street, close to tram, castle, monastery, cathedral. Easy distance to Charles Bridge and old town. Good breakfast, nice cafe up the street, large room with good bed and a great beamed ceiling. Suggest getting a taxi from airport or train as it is all up hill cobblestones, not so bad to walk but no fun with bags. The air conditioning is a room unit and was not fantastic but adequate, the weather was pretty warm when we were there. Tram tickets available at a little store about 100 ft away. There is a lift, very small and old fashioned; we just went up the stairs and only used the lift for the bags. Very clean, coffee and tea in room, friendly helpful staff.

Beautifully decorated place with a great breakfast
Hotel is very closely locat d to Charles Bridge and the castle. Lots of great restaurants near by. We were sulrised with a delicious free breakfast at the morning. The only complain is, that they should definitely improve customer service at evenings. We were checked in by the security guy, next day, different security guy was very rude.

An unexpected stay
A very last minute booking via Expedia and a very pleasant surprise. Perfect position for the castle and the more relaxed bars and restaurants of that district of Prague. The room would suit the romantic couple, husbands trying to impress and also the small group of girls on a budget happy to share!

Lovely staff, location is 'so so'
3 minutes walk from Prague castle main entrance, very convenient. Old but nicely refurbished room, and lovely staffs. Down side are thin floor/ceiling so you could hear every single step of upstairs' occupants. If you are sensible, you may have trouble going to sleep. Another is it is situated close to the top of the hill, so quite a walk required from the nearest tram/metro station. Relatively quiet area during night so not that much selection of restaurants or bar around.

Small, friendly hotel with nicely furnished rooms
The hotel is well situated, close to the castle and Charles Bridge. Our room was on the third floor, it was very large with a four poster and lovely fixtures and fittings. Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Historic building
This is a historic building with large apartment like rooms. Located perfectly below the castle, makes for easy walks to each of the sights. We had plenty of space to move around the room. The staff is wonderful and check in and out was smooth. My spouses only dislike was the bed, after a couple off nights he found it a little too hard. I on the other hand didn't mind the bed.

Lovely stay here and the staff were all very friendly and helpful-especially in the morning when the boiler needed restarting for hot water to work, but that's what you expect from a wonderful old building. I felt very special when I came back one day to find a very sweet Birthday message and a bottle of wine. So thoughtful. It's the little touches that count. The location of the hotel is great-just around the corner from the castle but the street is quiet so you get a great night's sleep. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Perfect location
Perfect location to be! About a 30 minute ride from the airport (PRG) and was only 550 CZK ($25 USD/21€). The palace, castle, and St. Vitus cathedral is right behind the hotel. It's quite a workout walking up the hill. The old town square, Charles bridge, astronomical clock are about a 25 minute walk down the road. Great to explore and the restaurants are amazing along the street. The hotel is a little dated, but it's what makes it charming; I enjoy getting authentic experiences. The staff members were super friendly and nice. The bed was firm, but comfortable and the room/sheets/towels were clean.

Lovely hotel in a quieter part of town.
This is a lovely 600 year old hotel in a quieter part of town, but within easy walking distance to the attractions (Charles Bridge was only just under a 10 minute leisurely walk away). The room was clean and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of stuff to do close by, with bars and restaurants and the castle is just around the corner. My only slight whinge is that we has only 1 pillow each and there were no extra ones in the top of the wardrobe (I am sure that if I had asked at reception they would have provided extra). Would stay there again.

Not far from the Prague Castle and we can walk to the bridge in 10-15 minute. Everything is quite good. The bed is very cozy. There are the lift only 3rd floor but I stayed on the 4th floor, so I must carry the heavy luggage around 12 stairs steps but when I arrived into the room, I feel very wonderful room because it's too big room. I stayed 2 ninghts 2 person but our room can stay around 4 or 5 person! I don't like the water in the shower bath because it's not too heavy flow.

A charming hotel in a great location
The Green Lobster Hotel is in a great location, just 5 - 10 minutes walk from the lovely Charles Bridge. There are restaurants and bars galore within a very short distance and the castle and St Vitus Cathedral are also very close by. The hotel is situated in the area of the Old Town to the west of the river which we preferred as it is far less crammed and without the hustle and bustle to the east. Our bedroom was very roomy, with a four-poster bed, and really couldn't be faulted while the staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

We had booked a Deluxe room at the Green Lobster for 4 nights. Our first morning I was not really happy to discover that the heater in the bathroom was leaking all over the floor and there was a strong smell of sewage coming from the shower drain! We mentioned those issues to reception and they took care of it while we were out. Unfortunately, I woke up the next morning to realise our boiler had stopped working, the room was freezing and no hot water. On my way to reception, i stepped in a paddle of water caused by the heater in the hall way now leaking! Not happy! The receptionist quickly came up to restart our boiler and i was able to take a shower, but realised that the sewage smell in the shower had come back! But as we came back to our room after some sightseeing, the hotel had left a bottle of champagne in our room to apologize. Nice gesture The next morning again, i woke up freezing cold as our boiler had stop over night again! Waking up feeling ill and really annoyed, I went back down to reception to ask them to fix the problem. They finally moved us to an other room and we were able to have a good night sleep for our last night in Prague, without waking up freezing cold or with water all over the floor. Also the staff was great at helping us with our issues and kept apologizing, i was really disappointed.

Close but quiet.
Second time staying. Hotel is 10 minute walk to Charles Bridge and 5 minutes from Prague castle and St Vitus cathedral. The street is very quiet at night, tredelnik and Glühwein right across the street. Plenty of restaurants on Nerudova also. The Wi-Fi was in and out during this stay but front desk acknowledged the problem and we overheard others from Red Lion across the street complain also do maybe it was the network. We had room 401 which was very large but you could hear the heating vent through the wall. We had room 203 in March 2016 and didn't have either of these problems. We will return for a 4th and 5th trip and even more. :)

The hotel is in a busy street with lots of shops and restaurants (but isn't noisy). Tea and coffee making facilities, lovely bathroom, nice big bed. Very helpful staff and a lovely atmosphere. Less than a 10 minute walk to the castle and around 20 minutes to the other side of Charles Bridge so well located.

Great base for exploring Prague
Situated a couple of minutes walk from the castle, this hotel makes a great base for exploring the castle or walk down the hill to the Charles Bridge and explore old town Prague. Lots of great little restaurants to eat at or just grab a beer and watch the world go by are right on the doorstep. We had a room at the very top which gives you great views across the rooftops of Prague. The rooms are basically furnished, it's not a luxury hotel but perfectly functional, plus the free wifi came in handy and the chap on reception was very helpful.

Best hotel we have ever stayed in. We stayed here for our honeymoon and got the pent house room and the view, room, everything was so luxurious, amazing, and wonderful. We loved it. However, somethings that may make it no so wonderful. There is no parking. Side street parking only and even then it's incredibly limited, may park several blocks away. The hotel is at the very top of the cobble street - very steep. There are no elevators, we were on the fourth floor. But the view of the castle was worth it, the room was worth it, the charming amazing city of Prague was worth it, the bathroom was the most luxurious bathroom ever -there was a bodet, but no shower, only a tub. We had a huge loft in our suite. The bed was so comfortable, and the staff was so friendly. It's right next to shopping, restaurants, night life, everything. St. Vitus Cathedral is literally a 5 min walk. St. Charles Bridge and Old Town was about a 10 min. walk. Best hotel we've stayed out and would stay there again every time. Price was very reasonable too.

Overally OK except for two things
Overall, it was OK, but there was no slippers which was quite uncomfortable to take a rest. Also, there was any drinks unlike the information written. Other stuffs except for the above was OK.

Excellent Hotel
We have stayed there before. this time we had an executive room. It was out of this world. it has got to be tried.... Like a home from home.
