Great stay
We enjoyed our stay. Staff was very nice. Parking was not available inside perimeters as suggested by hotel description but on the street which worked out well. Location is great - lots of restaurants and small shops around, 2 min from 's Charles' Bridge, about 10 min walk from the castle and 15 min from old town. Hotel is located inside older building, hence, it might not be as modern as expected. It has a lot of charm though. Only negative was lots of noises during the night of what we assume was a generator that kept revving up. We could still sleep. It just took some time to get used to them. Other than that, we would definitely stay there again.

I would go back, but perhaps not as refined as first hoped. Lack of restaurant impacted the overall score as I checked in late and didn’t really want to go back out. However, plenty to see and do right outside the door, so no big issue.

Lovely, comfortable hotel within easy walking distance of Prague’s main attractions. Lovely staff and breakfasts, I also recommend the Blue Light pub next door.

Obviously with our surname we had little option other than to stay here and our 1 night stopover was excellent! Lovely old hotel with many original features. A very comfortable, spacious and air conditioned room on the top floor with views over the church and a tasty breakfast. Perfect! Brian & Karen Charles

Great location, very good guest bedrooms, comfortable, clean, well maintained, good breakfasts, helpful and friendly staff. Let down by ridiculously small bathroom (room 102) - could only open/close shower door by squeezing oneself between the toilet and the wall, shower door didn't close properly so always leaking onto minute bathroom floor, shower riser rail bracket faulty so shower head/spray wouldn't stay in place. Bathroom toiletries (though good) were not replenished during our stay. Would stay again but definitely not in room 102.

The Charles Hotel off the Charles Bridge!
I absolutely was blown away by the location of the hotel, steps from the most beautiful lancet arched entrance to the Charles Bridge and into the New Town. The hotel is so quaint, very clean. All the staff was so attentive and caring. I enjoyed my stay there tremendously.

Beautiful, large and clean rooms and very friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is in a busy area just off the Charles Bridge but on a quiet side street. It is easy to walk to all the major sites from here but there are lots of transport options close by. One small negative is that the hotel can be quite noisy but I appreciate that is because it is an old building and depends on the volume of the other people who are staying there. That said, I would highly recommend!

We both loved The Charles Hotel. We liked the fact it was on the north side of the Charles bridge because it wasn’t as crowded. Being a block from the bridge made it easy to go over and be in old town in 15/20 minutes.

I'm familiar with the language I ended up walking 3.5 km with my luggage to the hotel I was exhausted, then I was confronted by the receptionist a lady by the name of Christina she had such a smile and glowing persona, she set me at ease straight away. My original plan was to stay two nights but ended up staying four. During my four day stay Christina was so helpful in guiding me too good entertainment, good affordable food and shopping, she took time to educate me on the historical sites that I should see. The hotel was extremely cleen and the rest of the staff were very polite and helpful and professional I would strongly recommend this historical hotel that is close to everything that you ever want to see or do in Prague.

I reserved three rooms and when I arrived at 6:05 pm, the hotel had already sold one of my reservations. their attempt at a compromise was to give me a double room at the same price. they staff acted like it was our fault and refused to compensate me. The room had a broken shower and the property did not look well kept. Would not recommend anyone stay at this property.

AC didn’t work in 3 out of the 4 rooms we booked . The bill was 170€ higher than booked . When we asked why we were told we were billed for a taxi we didn’t book . When questioned the hotel manager advised the taxi was “ mistakenly billed to our account - after 10wasted minutes .

We loved the location and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. We loved the old painted ceilings and original doors combined with modern bathroom. The bed was comfortable and sheets so white and smelled so good - my 8 year old son called the bed his happy place! Staff was super friendly and helpful, we also enjoyed the breakfast. Unfortunatelly our stay was completely ruined by the bar/club next door. We stayed for 3 nights out of 4 because we couldn’t handle the noise! Each night the music got louder and the people partied longer! Even though the bar closes at 3am on our last night they played loud music (to the point that our room was shaking) until 6am!!! After traveling all the way from Los Angeles all we wanted was a few nights of a good sleep and that was impossible to get in this hotel. Even though we expected that it will get loud since we were in the heart of Prague we were not prepared for loud music blasting bellow our room until 6am. What a bummer! We really wanted to love this hotel. It has so much going on for it. The location - super short walk from Charles bridge - is unbeatable. So if you are into clubbing and are not traveling with kids - this might be the perfect place for you. Otherwise look elsewhere.

The Charles Hotel is in an excellent position just over the Charles Bridge. Prague is so easy to walk around. The hotel and its staff were so welcoming and friendly. They arranged airport transfers too. I'd thoroughly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay again

We come to Prague a lot and tried this centrally placed hotel withing yards of Charles bridge because it was very well priced. What an absolute gem! Very friendly English speaking staff, top quality breakfast, the room was spacious with typical European charm and tall ceilings. The bed was comfy and clean. Everything about this was above and beyond.

Hotel are in absolutely great locations. But that's all great about this hotel. If you do not have car, you will be happy in this property. We have car and we find is not parking spot around hotel all. For unloading our suitcases we blocking one way road and make a lot unhappy drivers who want's drive around. Front desk clerk give us map and recommended parking locations where we can park. REALLY??? we park about 3/4 miles far from hotel and walk. Walk in Prague is great but if you will be take with you couple of heavy baggage's that's not fun. Otherwise hotel is not bad for locations probably very good but definitely note excellent for service. Maximum 3*

Perfect location for exploring old town sites
Right around the corner from the Charles Bridge, this was the perfect location for our visit in Prague. Fast friendly check-in, including instructions on where to park our car for free on our Sunday night stay. Breakfast included meat, cheese, veggies, pastries, yogurt, cereal - something for everyone. Our room was comfortable and quiet, we enjoyed our stay very much.

24 hour reception and easy check in. Breakfast was excellent! Breads, meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, veggies, fruit salad, coffee. Room had air conditioning and was fairly quiet. Excellent location close in walking distance of downtown. Only downside was that no employees were wearing masks or had visible covid prevention measures ie. no plexiglas screen between us at check in. I wished the breakfast staff especially had masks on.
