I reserved a room for my daughter and two children as there is construction in their flat. The front desk person was extremely gracious to my grandchildren (who can be rather boisterous!)

Dog owners beware
The hotel and location are great 5 mins off the A2. However dog owners beware the fee is extortionate!!

An excellent stopover!
We have stayed at this hotel on at least 4 occasions. It is very convenient for our journey to Italy being very close to the A2. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and the staff are very helpful.

Clean facility. Cleaning staff frequently skipped my room leaving a card to say I was in the room when they tried to clean. This happened 3 times in my 8 night stay. I was not in the room at the time nor did I have the DND sign up. Front desk were overall helpful

Great hotel
Very convenient hotel for a stopover halfway between Umbria and the UK. Two minutes off the motorway (2). Spacious, comfortable, good service, great spaghetti!

Typical big chain hotel
Typical, efficient big chain hotel. Nothing wrong, but the place has no real character or soul. If all you want to just arrive, have a basic meal, sleep and leave again in the morning this will do you fine.

Courteous, Comfortable and Convenient to Basel
My husband was jet-lagging having just returned from Australia so we appreciated the quick check-in and kind reception that explained the parking procedures. The wifi in the room was excellent as we needed to keep in contact with our office and staff. The room was spacious and well furnished. The hotel location was quiet and easy to find. It was convenient to get to our speaking engagements in Basel. We had requested 3 extra pillows to ease our back problems and they were in the room when we arrived. We will definitely stay there again!

Located in Pratteln, near the train station 10 mins walk, next to aquabasilea. Booking taxi through hotel desk is cheap. Good breakfast and customer service is really good.

Disappointing stay in Basel
No room service and no food served after 10pm. After arriving and freshening up we were told to go across the road to a service station to buy sandwiches, also breakfast was poor and tables were not clean.

Liked nothing and dislike when I’m paying 525 a night and they can’t put a water in the room ...and I don’t mind paying for the water but having to go to lobby like a cheap motel is ridiculous....rooms have no movies either

Staff were amazing and pleasing to deal with. The property is well kept but for the price I expected more, it was definitely pretty basic. The parking adds up, 24f per night... they advertise that they have a pool and spa but that’s an add on cost (19f after 7pm)... Other than that it’s an ok stay, staff made it all worthwhile ...

Great hotel
quality hotel as always from Marriott. Just outside Basel so avoid all the morning traffic, also includes a full health fitness centre and large pool. Staff all very friendly and professional.

The hotel is sold on Expedia as having an indoor pool, it doesn't. There is access to a leisure facility next door for a charge of 25 Ch F. Breakfast is not standard inclusion, you must always include breakfast in your rate as 28 Ch F is very expensive. Johann the ops manager was excellent, helpful with issues. Peter the receptionist was unhelpful and would not listen to requests
