“PRESCOTT ARIZONA BEST HISTORIC HOTEL”
We've been to other hotels in Prescott, AZ, but none so convenient to the downtown area as the Hassayampa Inn. It is truly one of the great historic hotels in the state of Arizona. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed with antique furniture to reflect the period of the hotel. Breakfast was bountiful and included in the price of the room.
Our first night there we were able to see a wedding party gather for an intimate outdoor ceremony just outside the hotel in a beautiful small courtyard with gazebo. We happened to meet the violinist they hired for the ceremony and he graced us with a tune in the lobby before the wedding. A truly charming moment for us!
The lobby is intimate but beautifully decorated to reflect the period of the hotel. Lovely paintings, an impressive painted ceiling, two pianos, and nice comfortable furniture. There is a ghost story that is shared by front desk employees upon request. There is also a printed pamphlet at the hotel lobby with a detailed history of the hotel. This includes a page describing the ghost who occupies and occasionally visits guests in Rm. 426!
Our breakfasts in the Peacock restaurant were wonderful! Both mornings we chose eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. There was more to eat than we could finish. Coffee was excellent and the award-winning grape salsa was amazing!
If you want to experience an amazing, historic hotel in Prescott, book the Hassayampa Inn! We'll go back soon!
