“Great location and ambiance, really uncomfortable bed...”

We chose this hotel for it's great location in downtown Prescott and because of the complimentary breakfast that is included. Unfortunately we didn't know we would be sacrificing a good night's sleep for those amenities. The "mattress" was literally a 3-inch mattress pad on top of a box spring. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on, to say the least. I ended up folding the comforter over several times and putting it under the sheet to get some additional padding to sleep on. The pillows were not much better than the mattress, they were thin and not very soft or supportive. The hotel is a beautiful, historic place, and the staff was very nice and helpful, but unfortunately the discomfort we experienced in the room we stayed in made our stay a poor experience overall.

“Excellent value”

The desk staff was polite. The room was simple, old fashioned and clean. It reminded me of some of the small, fammily owned hotels in Europe. THe location couldn't be beat. My room overlooked the square. If staying over the weekend, I would recommend a room facing the back to lessen the noise. Excellent value for the price. The Expedia price was the lowest I found. I forgot to empty a drawer and the hotel manager mailed me the contents two days later, after I contacted her.
