Beautiful, spacious room above restaurant in what used to be a coach house. Beautiful countryside. Breakfast was included, varied and delicious. Evening meals in restaurant also very good, many different choices. Very good wine selection.Friendly staff, special thanks to Gary for making our stay a very nice one. Pocket Guide: Preston, Lancashire Pet-friendly Hotels

Once a thriving mill town, Preston has felt the pinch of de-industrialization like much of the northeast. The city is peppered with beautiful old buildings including the Harris Museum and St John's Minster. The River Ribble runs through the south of the city, where the old docks are undergoing regeneration. A little further up the Ribble is Brockholes: a nature reserve with bird-watching hides.
