The staff was fantastic. Very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I recommend getting mattress covers for the beds. Our king room did not have one.

Comfort Suites Prestonsburg West is conveniently located and modern in appearance. It is freshly decorated and maintained. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The free breakfast has hot items that includes all the basics with featured items changing from day to day. Be sure to pick your swimsuit - the indoor pool is open and WARM. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend Comfort Suites Prestonsburg West when traveling in easternKentucky for business or vacation.

The rooms were clean but the door didn’t lock properly and the air conditioner didn’t work so we had a hard time sleeping. We were told they didn’t have a a different room or a fan and that someone from maintenance would come take a look the next day. The next morning a different lady is at the desk so we asked if maintenance was still going to come look and she told us there’s no maintenance done on weekends but she was able to get us another room.

Nice little hotel! Only complaint is the pull out bed. It was horrid. Very thin mattress and it feels like sleeping on springs. Pool was warm which was great! Gym room wasnt the greatest, one of their ellipticals didn't work, but they had 2 bicycles and a treadmill as well.

Great, just what we needed.
The location was perfect for our overnight trip to pick up a new toy in Pikeville. The room was clean and everything worked as it should. There was plenary to eat for breakfast and the staff kept everything full. The young man the checked us in was pleasnpand happy to offer his recommendation for a place to eat.

Clean, friendly staff…can’t complain.
I booked very last minute, like probably 10 minutes before we arrived. The lady at the front desk was very nice, got us checked in quickly. Since we booked last minute, the only room available was one with 2 double beds….not exactly what I would pick, BUT beggars can’t be choosers. 😉 We had a great stay. The room was clean, the mattresses could use an update, but they weren’t terrible. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it wasn’t bad. All in all, it was a decent place for what we needed. We’d stay again.

2 NIGHT STAY
MY ROOM WAS GOOD, ALTHOUGH THE GAP IN THE DOOR IS SO WIDE, ANYONE COULD SEE OR BREAK IN. I MENTIONED THIS TO THE FRONT DESK AND THEY WOMAN WAS AWARE. MY ROOM HAD BLACK WATER BUGS WITH PINCHERS. THE ROOM WAS GOOD OTHER THAN THE TWO MENTIONED ABOVE. THE HALLWAYS HAD GARBAGE BAGS FULL SITTING OUTSIDE THEIR ROOM X 2 DAYS. THE CARPETS IN THE HALLWAY WERE FULL OF PLASTERBOARD PIECES AND DUST. THE DOOR THAT LED INTO THE SIDE OF BUILDING (WHERE THE SMOKING AREA IS) DOOR WAS AJARED WITH A ROCK, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR SOLO TRAVELERS, WHO WANT TO FEEL SAFE IN THEIR ENVIRONMENT. IM HOPING THE NEXT TIME IM IN THE AREA, THESE ISSUES WITH BE RESOLVED. :). I WAS GIVEN THIS COMFORT IN RECOMMENDATION, DUE TO IT BEING THE BEST POSSIBLE ACCOMMODATION IN THE AREA.

BEWARE
BEWARE! We checked in around 9:30pm and got falsely accused of a noise complaint. The front desk called us around 11-woke us up, to inform me of a noise complaint coming from my room. I was also scolded because this was the third night in a row he had to call for noise. Hmm, how does that work when we checked in less than 2 hours ago? When I spoke with the GM, she took the employee's word over mine. Pikeville is a 20 minute drive with WAY better treatment. These people are just unprofessional. The hotel is under construction, the breakfast is absolute crap, and the employees call you to harass you. -5/5 stars, do NOT recommend. PS: if you're allergic to blueberries, do NOT make the "strawberry" waffle.

I paid a large amount for a dirty comforter, trash beside the bed, clogged tub, it was supposed to be handicap accessible but couldn’t reach the shower head to adjust it. Also, in the shower the curtain was right up against your body. I was very disappointed in my experience here for the amount of money I paid.
