Great!

The bed was extremely comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great! Only thing I would recommend is having more equipment in the gym. For as many rooms as you have, one treadmill is not enough.

Mountain town, hotel near the university

Posted Dec 23, 2013
Pros: The room was nice and the breakfast was good.
Cons: The sign identifying the hotel.
Location: There is a museum nearby and the university across the street.
The hotel was fine. It was difficult to find. The only sign was on the sidewalk in front of the hotel, at street level with a car parked in front of it. I had to call the hotel and be told that it shared space with the Hilton Garden Inn. I found the Hilton Garden because it had a sign on the front ABOVE street level.

no pool - no warning - unhappy grandsons -

Posted Aug 2, 2013
Pros: clean, pleasant workers, great breakfasts, great location, beautiful and fun under one roof
Cons: no surprises
Location: The Brakes was a fun day trip, Hatfield/McCoy sites everywhere - very good timing after the TV series, Jeanny Wiley has something for everyone
other than the pool, EVERYTHING and EVERYONE was A PLUS, #5, all the way, we were in town for my Mom's family reunion, had a lovely time, will probably be back again in the future

Great, SAFE place to stay!

Posted Apr 22, 2013
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a concert. During our stay, there was a Hillbilly Days festival in Pikeville. The city was very busy and crowed. The Hampton Inn provided 24 hour security guards at the hotel's entrance. I really appreciated this because there were MANY drunk people roaming the streets!

Right in the middle of town

Posted Apr 22, 2013
Pros: Close to Expo Center
Cons: Parking, Hillbilly Days
Location: Right downtown
Parking is somewhat of a hassle, long walk from elevator to lobby. Stairs are closer but hey you're lugging luggage unless you drop off at check in. Almost impossible to get to this hotel during Hillbilly Days. If you go during then, try to go up street behind as Hambley will be blocked off. Quiet though.

Awesome Hampton

Posted Apr 4, 2013
Pros: Decor was lovely Friendly atmosphere
Cons: none
Location: Perfect location
Very very nice visit. I rated the cleanliness of the room a 3 as the vanity in the bathroom was not as clean as it should be. Fresh fruit instead of cut up fruit is what i prefer, just a suggestion. Thank you for the lovely stay at your hotel. Everyone was very friendly. Great cookies, adds such a nice touch to the Hampton hospitality.
