Nice hotelPosted Jul 28, 2015
This hotel had excellent customer service. Down to the security guards, they were very helpful with giving directions. Only downsides were the ice machine on our floor ( 14th floor ) was out of order. And the pool opened up an hour and a half late.

Run down hotel with outdated amenitiesPosted Jul 27, 2015
I would never stay here again nor would I ever recommend this hotel to anyone. If you must stay at state line, you should consider the other two hotels that are available there. The rooms at Whiskey Pete's were run down, with old (tube style) TVs that barely got reception. When we inquired about ordering a pay per view movie for our kids, we were told that was only offered at the other two hotels in the area... All the fixtures in the bathroom were falling off the walls... I mean literally falling off the walls (tissue dispenser, toilet paper holder, etc), there were cracks in the walls, the blankets had holes in them, the beds were poorly made with the sheets coming untucked as soon as the spread was taken down. Of the 4 elevators in our tower only 2 were operational so we were always waiting and then having to stop at every floor before we got where we wanted to go. Only one ice machine worked that we could find.

DirtyPosted Jul 26, 2015
Room smelled really bad and had a stain on the floor. Our key stopped working. Changed room. It was a little better. No smell. Mattress pad covered 3/4 mattress. Hotel food choices were all at the gas station and dirty. 3 out of 8 ligh bulbs worked in the bathroom.

Great place to go just outside of Las Vegas.Posted Jul 25, 2015
Clean room, nice staff, fun pool. Nothing fancy. Perfect for the price! Just what you need to stop for the night, right before (or after) the desert.

Smelly and DingyPosted Jul 22, 2015
This hotel from the first entry until we left reeked of cigarette smoke starting at the front desk. The halls and room were dated with old wallpaper and in some cases the border was loose or torn and missing. The only eating options in the hotel were a McDonalds and an IHOP. We would never stay there again and would discourage our friends from staying also.

OK in a pinchPosted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Staff and location. Would stay here again in a pinch.
Cons: Rooms definitely need a bit of an upgrade, specially in the bathrooms. No hot/warm water on the second day and final day.
Location: Vegas is only 45-50 min away depending on traffic. Shopping outlets just a shuttle ride or monorail ride away, two gas stations & few restaurants.
We were lucky to arrive early in the afternoon, check in was quick and the staff very friendly. We dropped of our stuff in the room and found the toilet was not working. I called it in, they said they would come by and fix it, came back to the room a couple of hours later the toilet still not working. Called again, some staff came in to the room to take a look at it, and left without saying anything. Toilet still not fixed. I went down to the lobby by this time registration had a huge line to ck in, waited for about 20-30 min in line but again the staff was very friendly changed our room immediately with no hassle. Next day we left to vegas for the day, came back to no beds made, clean towels along the wet ones, and clean trash. We were so tired we didn't call it in. Check out was fast and easy.

This hotel was not what I expected. The floors were dirty and gross, the bed was not very comfortable. The bathroom was not entirely clean. The ceiling was falling off onto the floor. The tv was TINY, very old and not up to date. I guess you get what you pay for. Not staying there again.
