nice maintenance

Posted Aug 10, 2014
it's a country style old fashion hotel. Room is clean and has good maintenance. I like their breakfast area very much. As the hotel is located is rural area, there were some flyings in our room. That's the only thing I don't like for it.

clean hotel close to summerside

The staff was very helpful in getting a printout of some concert tickets printed and in getting some additional towels. The continental breakfast was good.

Great hotel to stay!

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Cons: The hotel needs some repair especially the back window where the outside breakfast eating area is located.
Location: Location was perfect. Just far enough away from town to allow for a peaceful and quiet stay!!
Our room was tidy and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff were kind and friendly. Overall a nice place to stay. We didn't have time to use the pool but we saw that other customers made good use of it!

Pros: staff
I arrived to Canada's Best Value Inn & Suites Summerside with my parents, who are almost old. The room that I reserved was in the second floor. Jeanne arranged a room in the first floor appropriate to the needs of my parents. Thank you so much

Summerside Stay

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: It was quaint.
Cons: Customer service and making a guest feel welcome. The latter should not require much training. I was taught to smile and thank people at a young age
I approached the front desk to check out. The older lady simply looked at me with a stare - no good morning, hello, or smile. If clients are considered GUESTS at the hotel, why do staff not make them or me feel welcome with a warm smile and hello? Smiles and greetings are the least expensive way to make guests feel appreciated, and this was not offered. I can only shudder if I requested more than a smile and hello.

Three of us spent three nights here and truly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very polite and accommodating and the facilities were clean and well kept.

It could have been nicer

Posted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: The room was clean(minus the flies) and served its purpose.
Cons: Major room reno and toilets that weren't so low to the ground(I felt I was sitting on the floor).
Location: The location was very good and very close to everything in Summerside and perfect for our tour of the provinces western side.
The part of the motel we were in was the older part of the motel and things were old and very dated. After killing off the dozen or so flies someone let in the room, the room was tolerable, dated but tolerable. Besides the general dated feeling, the room served its purpose and we were out early after the very good continental breakfast. Other people complained about the closed pool as they were told it would be open and had to be sent to another motel to use theirs, not nice.

Need a place for a night!

Posted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: Quiet environment Great staff
Cons: Better bathroom
Location: Summerside, Green Gables,
Quaint, quiet and quality. I really like the friendly inn type feel of Canada's Best Value Inn & Suites - Summerside. The best part of my stay was the bed and the breakfast that they offered - it was a great spread! If you need a place to stay before (or after) you visit Summerside or Anne of Green Gables house, consider this Summerside gem!

Not what was advertised.

Posted Jun 12, 2014
The services that were advertised were not available. I will say though that the staff member did go out of her way to try and find alternate arrangements for our group. The hotel itself could stand some upgrades, especially the plumbing (a very high pitch squeel sounded on and off through showers) and the bugs in the room were anoying.
