Close to ferry

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Foyer
Cons: Entry in parking lot not ideal due to Pub /street folks It would have been nice to be able to have tea as well as coffee.
Location: Not amazing outside hotel...fine once inside. We went to near by restaurant but Need to visit restaurants coupons given to be sure hotel is happy
Staff was helpful re directions to ferry and explain time required to drive there

Older hotel but nice

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: The staff, the complimentary breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom could use an update.
Location: Close to the water. Tim Horton across the street.
This hotel is definitely older but with recent upgrades, a nice place to stay. The staff was very nice, the room was clean and the price included complimentary breakfast (with lots of options). Set one street back, we could still see the water from our room. Again not the newest hotel, but I would stay here again.

Quiet old small town

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: The ferry trip to the island based airport
Cons: No comment
Location: Old small town with little to see and do near our hotel. People come for the fishing. A big attraction as several had large boxes of fish as luggage
We arrived by train late. Took taxi to the hotel. The few restaurants near by were closed. The area is old and uninteresting compared to previous towns on our trip. The hotel is very close to the airport shuttle bus pick up station to go to the airport the next day. That trip took about an hour. The bus goes on a small ferry to get to the island based airport.

OK; nothing outstanding. Hotel signage is difficult to locate and entrance from parking area very cultered and unsafe looking. Staff was friendly and helpful
