Relaxing Hotel

Posted Jul 19, 2015
We had a very pleasant stay at the Chauncey Hotel. The room, service and amenities were excellent. It was very relaxing and a very good location to tour Princeton and the nearby historic sites in the Deleware Valley.

No where to hide

Although a nice enough setting, my stay coincided with a wedding. Fri. Night rehearsal dinner noisy but manageable. Sat night live band shook our room for four solid hours. Not fun

Interesting alternative near Princeton

Posted Apr 27, 2015 on Hotels
This is a very nice place to stay and I wouldn't hesitate to return. I have to add that it seems to be affiliated with a corporate park. It is not near ANYTHING without a drive, but the grounds are landscaped beautifully for a walk or a jog. Park-like setting behind the hotel.

Pros: Thoughtfully appointed, well-situated
Staff were helpful and responsive. Facility was convenient and well-appointed with many thoughtful conveniences. Location on a campus was attractive but still convenient to Princeton and points north. Room was clean and spacious; some small housekeeping details wanting, but overall an excellent experience.

Like a country inn

Pros: views, space, service, breakfast buffet.
Cons: the gym is going to be expanded this spring, which will be a needed improvement.
Location: Location is secluded but easy to drive into downtown Princeton or get to Pennington or Hopewell. Great place for overflow of houseguests!
This hotel is comfortable, restful and non-commercial. It's nestled in the lovely ETS campus with lots of open space around. Pretty views to fields and a charming farmhouse. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast buffet was outstanding and the service very professional and friendly. The architecture of the building is modern, horizontal with angled roofs that make for great inside spaces. The lobby is lovely with two fireplaces. We are locals staying there because our furnace broke over Thanksgiving!
