First visit to NJ

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: just the bed and desk.
Cons: having free breakfast and wifi.
Location: Walk around downtown Princeton.
I booked this Hotel for a friend coming to NJ for the first time. I was disappointed this hotel not only did not provide breakfast, but also no cookies or free wifi. I stayed at Hampton in which is one step below then this hotel and they had all of the above. I wanted this to be great for my guest, but it was just average and I will not be further recommending this hotel or staying in another DoubleTree as long as I can obtain a room in a Hampton Inn.

Weekend Away

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Location, proximity to restaurants, shopping. Cleanliness.
Girls weekend. Just needed a place to stay at the end of the day. Hotel is updated, clean, staff was friendly. Didn't try the restaurant or other amenities. Was a bit disappointed to hear there was a charge for in-room internet.

Worst.

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Nothing much.
I dont find the hotel comfortable at all. You wont see any Microwave or Refrigerator in the room. Even you need to pay for the Internet as well. Also, few members of the hotel staff are terrible. They dont know how to interact with Guests. Mainly, the restaurant people are the very worst. I dont even want to spend few seconds to write about them here. There is a person called HOSE in the restaurant, who is the terrible of all. He stares at you for everything and he will be ready to yell at you for no reason. Such a worst attitude. Never gonna stay in this hotel again.

Hilton you can do better!

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Nothing! Makes me hate to travel.
I would not go back to this Hilton again. The bedskirt was all stained and gross. This hotel has been re-done but you can still see it is lacking. We are Hilton Honors members and this is the worst we have been to.

Great place if you're doing work near Princeton.

Room was great... a little noise air conditioner, but the gym was new, clean and terrific.

This Hilton Doubletree is ok

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: We liked the hotel staff - they were excellent, the restraint food was very good (we had both breakfast and dinner there).
Cons: See my dislikes
Location: Location is good if you need to in and near that area.
We stayed 2 nights and found that this Doubletree is lacking in a few of the Hilton standards so hence we gave it a 4 rating. Our dislikes were the king executive suite rooms and bathrooms are small. The Bed was very firm which is fine if you like that. The TV's are only 24" and offer few channels and no pay per view. The heating / air conditioner unit was extra loud and the thermostat could have used an upgrade to better keep the room temp even. The room doors need to be upgraded to prevent the hall noise and light (argh). The hotel lobby is nothing spectacular and things weren't clearly marked like finding the restraint for the first time - haha (can you imagine).

Thank you for providing us with such detailed feedback. We’re pleased to discover that our staff and the Ridgeway Bar & Grille exceeded your expectations. While our executive king suite includes a 27” flat-screen HDTV, we do have larger rooms available that include larger HDTVs, and we hope you’ll take advantage of one on a future stay. Your input on your experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Princeton is truly appreciated. It would be a pleasure to have you back.

Quiet, excellent hotel

Everything was great. No complaints. My spouse and myself have a nice get a way to this hotel right off rt. 1 which has many restaurants around the area.
