We loved the hotel - the staff were brilliant, always ready to help and very friendly. We had a suite with a sea view and it was beautiful, although the decor in the bathroom is a bit eccentric (turquoise sparkle wash basins and bidet!)
The prices of food and drinks is what you would expect from a hotel of this quality and the live music in the bar on Saturday evening was excellent.
The amazing thing about Le Negresco is the collection of art that is spread throughout the hotel. It's like staying in an art gallery. The eclectic, slightly crazy style of the hotel makes it really special and a lovely contrast to the business hotels we usually stay in.

A very good hotel. Very clean and comfortable. All the staff we encountered very friendly and very helpful. I would recommend the hotel unreservedly.
The hotel is located in a good position on the waterfront on the Promenade des Anglais A large number of cafes and restaurants are nearby and the train station is only about 15 minutes away on foot.
As a surprise bonus, the room contained tea and coffee making facilities

This would ordinarily be a great hotel - it's right on the beach and in a fairly centralized location (walking distance to the old quarter, Acropolis, shopping areas, park, restaurants, etc.) and the rooms are in very good condition and clean - but there was hotel construction going on in mid-April. As a result, some of the rooms apparently could not be air conditioned, and this made for a rather warm stay at times, even at night with open windows (the hallways and dining area were air-conditioned, and when asked why the rooms could not be, the staff said it was not possible and to open the window). All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and always helpful, and under other circumstances, it is a great hotel and location. Prior to booking, I would recommend checking on the status of the hotel's construction and whether air conditioning is still affected (the construction did not otherwise interfere with the stay and the hotel was easily accessible by a few stairs).

This hotel was really nice clean and the staff friendly. It is in a very good location with a nice room with a balcony.
The restaurant let down an otherwise very good hotel. The breakfast was expensive and average. In the evening the restaurant was understaffed. We decided to eat in it one evening and arrived with only two other tables occupied. We were given menus and then left for 15 minutes without a drink or acknowledgement that the waitress would be with us soon. She was on the only one on duty and attending to another table. We left and no one appeared to notice. Very poor service - it was a Sunday but even so it was lifeless.

A small hotel which makes it that bit more personal. We stayed in a "comfort" room which is the cheapest available. It was small but clean and comfortable with a well appointed bathroom. We were on the 5th floor which gave us some view of the city but if you were to be located on a lower floor you would look onto walls at all sides which some (myself included) might find oppressive.
The staff at the front desk speak good English and are in the main really helpful. Special mention to Song and Nicholas who were both fantastic and could not do enough to help.
This hotel is in an unbeatable location for the price we paid. Literally a minutes walk to the Promenade, Gardens and perhaps 3 minutes to the amazing Messina Square. It is surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. There is even a MacDonald's for an early morning coffee and a spar for a late night bottle of wine.

Very well located hotel, hotel needs a dedicated and secure place to leave your bags and not just the staff toilet with a chair blocking the door. Clean room, quiet and fast internet. Would stay here again

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel very much.. Didn't have the hotel breakfast as seemed a little expensive for what it was when outside far cheaper. Only hotel annoyance was no iron tea making facilities or wifi in the rooms for a 4 star hotel.. would stay again if in Nice.
