Overall, this place is meh. My wife and I were greeted by a young lady who was pleasant enough but disheveled and didn’t make eye contact; not a good first impression. The room appeared clean but it took about two minutes for the water in the bathroom to turn warm, the sink had a distinct smell of sewerage, and the shower had a very slow drain. Also, the furniture was old and cheap and the chairs have a musty odor. Suffice it to say our room has not seen a plumber in a while and is in desperate need of a makeover. The breakfast in the morning was served by a pleasant young lady but it was unpalatable. The owners have clearly stopped caring and just let this place go. Besides, there is nothing within walking distance. Don’t bother. Just stay in a hotel.

Beautiful property with a lot of charm, ad it is well maintained. We enjoyed the friendly staff, delicious breakfast, lots of amenities, and a spectacular view of the state house! Definitely will stay here again and recommend to others.

Charming, excellent breakfast, courteous staff. Many stairs so if stairs are not your friend, beware. Would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

There was a great mix of historic and modern in this house. I felt like I was stepping back in time but I still had all the modern comforts. Loved the amount of space in our bedroom, great water pressure and hot water. The bed was comfortable and the staff was so helpful. The breakfast was well portioned and delicious. There was cold water and tea and other small amenities available, which was a nice touch. The road noise was a bit loud but I got used to it and the A/C helped mask it. I would stay here again and again! Highly recommend it

This is a gorgeous house! It's also in a cute neighborhood with many beautiful houses. The breakfast was delicious. The ladies who served breakfast were lovely. The only downside was that the house is very close to the freeway and there is quite a bit of road noise. Sine we are from a big city, it did not bother us. However, if you are from a suburb or the country, you might want to bring earplugs to help you sleep at night.

Everything was great except the location of our room, which unfortunately was just how it shook out. If I reserved with them again, I would ask for an upper floor room. Our room was right next to the lower main entrance, which was also the entrance closest to the office. We could hear each conversation that happened there, as well as the front door opening and closing. Luckily it didn’t happen when we were sleeping, but we were sort of still waking up in the morning when a conversation was happening right outside our door around 8am on a Saturday.
