Very comfortable

Pros: The breakfast was outstanding. The reception room where the breakfast is served was quite lovely. The coffee was available at all times.
Cons: The rooms could use some kind of shades. The sun woke me up between 4:30 and 5:00 every morning. The curtains were lovely, but I couldn't close them
Location: It was close to the convention center, many restaurants, and a lovely little museum about Roger Williams. The neighborhood has interesting architectu
The hotel is quite lovely with an amazing breakfast. The young woman who supervises does an excellent job. One of the hotel clerks, a young woman, was very helpful and engaging. The hotel was most pleasing in every way except for the electronic keying system. One of the desk clerks, a male, tried to blame me for the fact that we had to keep having our key fixed. It turned out that the lock battery was dying and then dead. During the week they served very tasty cookies in the afternoon. I would recommend the hotel.

Pros: Clean and quiet. It used to be a Franciscan Chapel. Their renovation was very good.
Cons: The communication
Location: It's in the financial district of Providence RI. Very accessible to shops, restaurants, the river etc.
Everything was good except that they didn't notify me that a package was delivered there for me. Consequently, I went home without it. I would like them to have the package delivered to me at home.

Really well run hotel in the heart of downtown providence. The staff was great, the rooms, clean and the coffee fresh. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Location and Staff

Posted May 16, 2014
Cons: The delayed response of the elevator doors openings was something to get use to without wondering "Am I ever going to get out ?"
Location: Convenient to town, to the colleges, great restaurants and shopping. Basically all walking distance or quick cab ride.
The staff was friendly, helpful and provided prompt service. Shuttle service is a plus not to mention the convenient location. Overall very safe , convenient and clean hotel facilities. Definitely recommend this hotel for business travelers and vacationers.

Pros: Not too big to be cold.
Cons: Plumbing in the room, especially the tub were leaking. It would be nice to have upgraded faucets and shower
Location: Perfect downtown location
Arrived late, but received a great welcome. The room was perfect even when we were 4 in the room (two small children)

Lives Up to Past Experiences

Pros: As usual, the beds, pillows and linens were extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and efficient.
Cons: Climate controls in the room. Upon my arrival, the room was warm and stuffy. Therm set at 70. Could not get it to budge. Better at night.
Location: Lots of shops and restauarants within walking distance. For parents of students, it's near the JWU downcity campus. Great coffee shop across street
Have stayed at Hampton Inns many times because of excellent service, super-comfortable beds and well maintained rooms. This Hampton did not disappoint.

Pleasant surprise.

The hotel is in a historic building in a very convenient location. The complimentary breakfast was both fresh and abundant. No need for valet parking. There was an overnight lot directly next door with several other lots nearby.
