“Great location for Federal Hill, Providence Place.”

We stayed here because we thought we would be spending time on Federal Hill--that didn't happen but location still very convenient. Front desk staff and valet/luggage staff extremely friendly and helpful without being so perky that you want to kill them. I will book again at this hotel.

“Nice Hotel, Convenient to Downtown”

Nice hotel and convenient to downtown Providence. Room temperature hard to regulate due to thermostat irregularity. Vending machine on our floor but no ice machine. All and all we were pleased with the hotel and staff and would stay again if the need ever arose again.

Area recommendations

The downtown area is filled with historical charm. Many examples of period architecture. Pleasant walk along the river with placards telling the area history.

“Walking distance to restaurants on Atwells Ave-- convenient to downtown”

Genuinely friendly and helpful staff.

Area recommendations

Atwells Avenue, just up the hill from the hotel, has a number of fine Italien restaurants, a long-established bakery, specialty Italien food stores, a great seafood restaurant (Providence Oyster Bar)-- all within walking distance of the hotel. The West Broadway neighborhood to the south of Atwells Avenue is also a special place worth exploring-- full of some marvelously restored old Victorian homes. Julians on Broadway is a funky restaurant that serves great breakfasts, lunch and dinner. The Seven Stars Bakery, also on West Broadway, should not be missed.

“Small room for the price”

Room was cramped. I expect more given the high price. There are slightly cheaper hotels nearby that are just as nice and have bigger rooms.

“Great Hotel”

Great overall experience - desk staff was excellent, property was very clean. Room was great: clean and nicely decorated. VERY convenient to highways, Federal Hill (a block away), shopping mall, etc were all within walking distance. Would definately go back.

“Excellent Stay!!”

The staff at the Providence Hilton were excellent. They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and fun. We went to Providence for Waterfire(Excellent!) and found a lot more thanks to the Hilton staff for their recommendations!

Area recommendations

Definitely check out Waterfire! its was a wonderful event. Also check out the Federal Hill neighborhood. Great Italian food and outdoor seating!
