Eclectic Hotel

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Cool setup and restaurant deck space!
Cons: The elevator was broken for 2 days.
Location: If you're looking for great wings Buffalo Wild Wings is across the street. Also they have a good selection of bourbon/whiskey behind the bar at NYLO.
Rooms were comfortable and inviting. The restaurant and bar staff were excellent and treated me great.

Well located to explore Rhode Island

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Industrial design, friendly staff, location.
Cons: My wife would have liked a combination of soft and firm pillows. I like a firm pillow, so I was happy. Intermittent noise from the duct work :-(
Location: Great location.. so handy to explore the whole state.
We didn't really get to take advantage of all the hotel had to offer, as we were busy exploring Rhode Island. The location is great, with really easy access to major highways nearby.

Convenient but for what they are trying to be

Posted Sep 8, 2014
They are not. In an attempt to be industrial chic, they cheapen their facilities by having builder grade bathroom facilities in the rooms and just lack of proper storage. If you were staying there for longer than a couple of days you would find it annoying.

One of a kind hotel!

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The overall decor, ambiance and exceptional service.
Cons: The staff had occupied the elevator in the morning with large bins - wish that can be avoided for a later time in the day or late night?
Location: There is a shopping area across the street from the hotel and some places to grab a quick bite.
This hotel is like none other! If you are expecting to walk into a mundane, I-have-seen-that-before type hotel then turn around and walk out - this one is not for you. It's contemporary, hip decor took me by surprise. The rooms will make you want to reconsider your personal taste and you'd want to redecorate your home. I had bought over food and was concerned that I would not be able to refrigerate it for the next day. Called front desk and they brought in a mini refrigerator to our room within a few minutes of voicing my concern! The outdoor deck expands out to a river, with a view of an old factory in the distance. Very quaint! And the service and food...amazing! Overall, if you want to up your hotel experience, then this is the one to go to.

Nice place, needs to be better managed

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Location, nicely done, outdoor patio overlooking the river, small but nice gym. Free wifi. We would only come back if it was cheap.
Cons: Service on all levels. We never saw anyone who seemed to be in charge. All staff seemed flustered!
Location: Providence is about 20 minutes north.
Funky old warehouse hotel in a decent location with nice rooms, a cool bar/restaurant overlooking the river. Check in: no hello or welcome. Just....here's your room keys(gave me one). I had to ask where to park. Got to the room, one set of towels.....we saw a housekeeper who gave us more, and the front desk staffer who we called showed up with 2 towels about 45 minutes later. Not one thing in the room describing the features of the hotel itself. The safe didn't work because of low battery. We ate dinner at the bar and have never seen slower service. We laughed that we didn't think it was physically possible to move that slow. Salad took about 15 minutes to come out and the entrees took another 30 after that. Food was decent but overpriced. We asked to check out at 12 rather than 11, which they "authorized", the maid banged on our door at 11:08......so much for relaxing a bit longer!

Really unique and hip hotel.

The room was small, but comfortable and functional. Concrete floors were great and the king sized bed was large and very comfortable. Great for a night or two, but probably not for long terms stays. There is a funky bar/lounge downstairs and the patio area has a great view of the river.

I'm too old to be a hipster.........

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The decor and attitude it was going for.......
Cons: The shower......
The hotel itself is very funky!!.....( in a good way.... Not in a moldy cheese smelling way) I loved the nook right off of the lobby where they had hanging chairs and board games, it was decorated really cool!!! I liked the room at first but after a day and a half in it , I realized 2 things (1) it was too gray and drab.... I know it's an old factory warehouse but it needed more color in the room and natural light ( there's a big beautiful window facing the street but if it's not sunny out the light in the room wasn't enough) It would make me depressed to stay there for a week or so..... Everything is too gray?!! The second thing I realized is all this led my to believe I'm too old to be a hipster anymore...... Also I forgot to tell the front desk that the shower handle was broken and the shower sucked... it was either scold yourself too hot or freeze to death (the handle came off in my hand)

Something unique.

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Location, dining areas, especially the deck overlooking the river - perfect spot for a glass of wine or full dinner. The food is also very good.
Cons: Provide newspapers at the front desk in the am. Also provide coffee (vs. paying $3.00 in the dining room for a "go cup") Sound proofing.
Location: Easy access to airport, shopping mall, restaurants.
This hotel breaks the mold......very unique d├ęcor, furnishings, etc.
