Cozy hotel in front of the beachPosted Nov 28, 2013
Pros: Close to the beach Kitchenette in the room Clean rooms and bathroom
Cons: Snorkel equipment Improve restaurant menu Offer complimentary transportation to main restaurant area in Providenciales
We were very happy with the choice of staying at the West Bay Club. The hotel is pretty new and further from the main resorts. We got the studio room on the 4th floor. The size was very decent and the kitchenette was very useful as well. It comes with a toaster, microwave, coffee maker (you have to bring the filter), two plates and a couple of glasses. The complimentary breakfast was great and they will prepare eggs any style, bacon and sausage upon request. Staff was very friendly and every Tuesday they have a small cocktail with the guests and staff. Very nice and thoughtful. The hotel provides chairs, umbrellas, towels, kayaki and other amenities on the beach. The only con I would have is they should take better care of the snorkels equipment, since they were mostly damaged. We would definitely go back and stay at the West Bay Club.

Nice and quite!Posted Nov 26, 2013
Location: Everything is a little ways away, if you are into walking well within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants.
Its a very nice resort and the staff was great. The pool was clean and enjoyable to swim in. The food was good, its not to far from town and shopping. The amenities were very nice, the internet was probably the best I have had at a resort or hotel.

Nice Quiet Hotel Off the Beaten PathPosted Nov 7, 2013
We had a great time at this hotel. Staff and service were excellent and friendly. It was off season so there were no crowds whatsoever. We often had the pool or breakfast all to ourselves. Hotel itself is away from the other big hotels which we enjoyed. You can always walk up the beach if you want more activities or 'connection". It is not a five star hotel nor does it pretend to be. It is quiet and comfortable with no attitude and snobbery. Just a nice play to relax at the end of a long fun day. Ambiance poolside is calm but but has no pizzaz to it like the Gansevoort next door. We spent most of our time on the beach and again found it fine for our needs but if you want chic and classy with more "wow" and better beach furniture, poolside elegance etc. then some of the fancier places on the island might suit you better. Our room was top notch modern, clean and uber comfy with full kitchen and appliances. It was spacious and had huge flatscreen TV in living room and bedroom as well as surround sound systems and comfy patio lounges. Well appointed and modern, clean lines and up to date furniture were high quality.

Great first visit to Turks & Caicos!Posted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: Not crowded, expansive private beach, well kept property, great staff and location. Jeffrey is a great beach attendant given there's not beach bar.
Cons: The bed was terribly uncomfortable as it sank in the middle and was way too soft. The bathroom could be designed better, need hooks to hang wet suits.
Location: 10 minutes from the airport and 5 minute to downtown for restaurants and shopping. Great food at Coco Bistro, Bella Luna, Mr. Grouper, Pizza Pizza.
We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and selected Turks and Caicos having heard great things about this island, although warned it's very expensive. I selected this hotel primarily based on price, reviews and we were looking for a hotel and not a condo facility. The West Bay Club is perfect if you are looking for a private, mostly adults only, private beach resort. The pool is rather small and simple so don't expect a huge pool like other resort properties, remember you are going for the gorgeous beach. We had a one bedroom studio, which worked perfectly for us because it was just the two of us and we had a mini fridge and microwave to store drinks and leftovers given how expensive everything is on the island. The hotel is two minutes from a local IGA, which I would highly encourage you to stop by for bottled water, beer and wine. The continental breakfast is just that, toast, bagels, fruit, yogurt and cereal so don't expect more. You can certainly order more but it's costly as everything is on the island, it's not just this hotel. Our trip was in early October so this is off season for the island and we saw no more than 10 couples/families at the resort the entire visit. We were even invited with a cocktail hour with the new management team that sound as though they are investing a lot into this property so I'd expect it to only get better.

Very nice room and nice beachPosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: The rooms and the beach are beautiful.
Cons: The restaurant food. The staff could be a lot more helpful.
Location: The location was great. Right on the beach. There are restaurant all around, but it requires you take a taxi (which is expensive).
I stayed in a studio, which was excellent. I had a pool/parking lot view, but it didn't matter. I was only steps from the beach. The hotel was quiet, which was nice. No real amenities to speak of at the hotel. The hotel staff was ok. Not all that helpful. The restaurant food left a lot to be desired, and half the time, when ordering room service, you had to go pick up the food yourself because there was only one person working in the restaurant and they couldn't leave their post. The beach was beautiful.

Clean and serene.Posted Jul 24, 2013
Pros: Room was top notch. Beach beach on the island. Very clean and well appointed. Very peaceful and relaxing.
Cons: The staff could use better management. Before we were leaving, I was told that the hotel just hired a former manager from the Ritz Carlton.
Location: I would rent a car next time. The whole island is about 7 miles long. Cabs are pretty expensive ($6-12 per person) depending where you go.
This has got to be the best beach in Turks and Caicos. Absolutely beautiful and not crouded. The hotel (actually a condo. building) was very nice. It was like staying in our very own condo. unit, but with full hotel amenities (cleaning, restaurant serviec, consierge, etc.) We stayed in a 1 bedroom, luxury suite. It was about 1,600 square feet and and very well appointed. Great balcony and view of the ocean and beach. The pool was nice and the pool area was attactive. The staff can really use some management help. It seems that some of them just don't know what to do. Everyone was very friendly though.

Great place to stayPosted Jul 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Spacious rooms with great view. Note: well worth the extra cost for a 1br. We saw the studio first and it was small w a view of the parking lot. Upgraded to a 1br and could not have been more impressed. Spacious well equipped kitchen, dining and living room. Furnished balcony w beach view, and smaller balcony overlooking the pool. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but happy to fulfill any requests. The beach is amazing and uncrowded. Hotel provides beach chairs, umbrellas and towel service.

Good hotel, but poor beach servicePosted Jul 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The overall experience at the hotel was good, but we were very disappointed with the beach service, or the lack of it. The coverage at the beach is extremely poor – which is exactly the opposite of I would expect on a beach front resort. Beach attendants are only interested in selling you external activities. They would never allow us to use the paddle board and one day I had to ask them to call the manager of the hotel in order to convince them to put the SUP/Kayak at the beach. I ‘m positive there are much better resorts in T&C and do not recommend this one.
