Fantastic Beach Paradise!!!

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: The one bedroom suite was amazing and huge! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach was large and pretty private, not super crowded.
Cons: Didn't love the dinner menu.
Location: Directly next to the Gansevoort and close enough taxi ride to restaurants.
This hotel is amazing. The beach and water are also out of this world. It's a better beach than some of the other hotels down the same strip of land. It shares a beach with the Gansevoort Hotel which was much more expensive for no good reason. I would definitely HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

Very Nice Experience

Posted Oct 14, 2014
The reception personnel were MOST helpful, and the concierge made it a point to find us on the beach to see what he could do for us. Made the reservations using his cell right on the spot! All hotel personnel were very friendly, eager to please. Drawback was the expense - small glass of wine was $14. This is not unique to the resort as the entire island was very expensive. Beach front at this resort seemed nicest! Not crowded - wide, clean and staff eager to ensure we were comfortable. Very nice Experience - thank you!

Pristine beach, luxurious accommodations

Great stay at the West Bay. Needed shower head maintenance which bothered me throughout the stay. Communicated this to front desk but no resolution. Everyone was so friendly and breakfast was perfect.

Very nice hotel and on the beach!

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the accommodations surpassed my expectations!
Cons: Perhaps serve some pancakes or waffles as an added treat at breakfast.
Location: Definitely a quieter area! You would need a car to travel to the town for more restaurant options. We took taxis and bikes to get around.
Our stay at the West Bay Club was amazing. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, it was absolutely gorgeous! The staff is friendly and very concerned that your needs are met. The hotel is kept immaculate. The purpose of our stay was to just get some R&R and enjoy the beach and good food.

Very close to the beach!

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: The food was ok, not great by any standards. It is also very expensive so come prepared for that.
Location: Beach, snorkeling, tubing, para-sailing. All excursions will pick you up on the beach at the resort!
This was a great place for us! It is far enough away from everything to feel secluded and relaxing, but close enough to get to everything with a nice, short walk down the beach. If you're looking for a party this is not your place, however if you're looking to relax and enjoy the beach or a really nice pool area then STAY HERE! At no point did my wife and I have to wait, or have any trouble at all getting chairs or a hammock by the pool or the beach. They have plenty of space for everyone. It does not feel crowded like a lot of resorts do. We will stay here time and again.

Nice and quiet

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: It's not as busy as other hotels which means that the beach is less crowded
Cons: Shuttle service from the airport should be paid by the hotel not by the guest (someone needs to change this practice in T&C)
Location: Fish Fry on Thursdays is within walking distance. You can ride a bike to the supermarket. Everything else is within driving distance.
This is a nice hotel almost at the end of Grace Bay. It's not as crowded or lively as other hotels and resorts but that is the primary reason we picked it.

Well appointed large rooms and right on the beach

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: Water activities (SUP, windsailing, snorkeling) Location Rooms Gym
Cons: Dining options, more activities within the hotel such as yoga classes and live music, replenish bathroom toiletries (showergel, shampoo, conditioner)
Location: Location is right on Grace Bay, walking distance the Gansevoort, Somewhere Bar and snorkeling
Pros: The rooms were great, complete with kitchen, living room and large balcony. The gym is well equipped and the hotel is right on Grace Bay with free use of SUP, windsailing, kayaking and snorkel gear. They will teach you to windsail if you don't know how and the instructor is really patient, helpful and gives you as long as you want on the board. There is free parking if you have a rental car. Cons: The 2 restaurants served poor quality food with limited options, the staff at the hotel bar were unfriendly and didn't seem to want to be there. Breakfast was ok but uncovered and plagued with flies, the morning staff were friendly and helpful. There was no concierge during our stay so the receptionists took their place but seemed to know even less than we did and again seemed put out to answer any questions or help. It is a hotel rather than a large resort so don't go expecting a large pool, activities, restaurant options, etc but it is a peaceful, clean, well located property and good value compared to many other hotels along Grace Bay but we wouldn't go back.

On the best stretch of beach in Turks & Caicos! Super friendly and helpful staff. Compared to the other resorts on the island, this is hands down the best.

Beautiful resort with good amenities

Posted Jul 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Beautiful grounds, rooms and pool area. Great, quiet stretch of beach! Some water sports to keep you busy and comfy lounge chairs at the pool and beach. Staff is friendly, quick to respond to calls, helpful with information and always smiling and willing to help. Only thing I would recommend is widening the food selection. We did not eat at the restaurant because we do not like that type of food. The bar/snack place on the beach was a nice location and had a welcoming setup but very limited food that did not appeal to me. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
