La Quinta (North) - convenient and satisfactory

Posted Apr 9, 2015
It was very nice to be given a complimentary bottle of water at check-in. I arrived, they had my reservation, I got my keys, and was given a bottle of water. The complimentary breakfast was very nice with the usual cereal, juices, apples, yogurt, donuts, along with hot waffles, and scrabbled eggs and sausage. People were nice. It's on a little hill. Has a grocery store and a few eating places across the street. It is not fancy, and fixtures showed some wear, but I would definitely stay there again.

Good place! Good location!

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Clean comfortable rooms.
Cons: Needs new carpet. They are painting so they will probably replace carpet after painting complete.
Location: everything
Got in late on Thursday night. Rodney was on duty and very helpful and friendly. I'm up late and up early on this trip and ran into Rodney a couple of times and he was great! The make your own waffles at the breakfast were great. Advertised as continental breakfast, but it was much more.

Disappointing

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Close to where I needed to be.
Cons: Staff training on customer service. Update the hotel and have repairs done professionally so it doesn't look like a 3rd rate hotel.
Location: Orem on 800 No, although I was under the impression I was booked at the one on University Parkway.
LaQuinta used to be our favorite place to stay when we traveled, but no more. The last two visits have proven to me that LaQunita doesn't really want my business. They have lost my reservation, been rude during checking in and got my room wrong both times. Make the Website clear so you know which one your booking.

Nice hotel but pool area severly lacking

Posted Mar 2, 2015
The hotel room was great and the staff was great, however I was extremely disappointed that the hottub was out of service abd that the pool temp was so cold. The whole reason I had chosen this hotel over another was for the pool and hot tub facilities

Okay

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: The beds are comfortable
Cons: Longer breakfast hours, better tv service, nicer staff, housekeeping needs to wait to clean rooms ( came by way too early)
Location: McDonalds across the street
The hallway is very loud at night. There is a lot of slamming of doors and heavy footsteps at all hours of the night. Also the tv goes in and out constantly while watching it. The person at the front desk on check in was not very pleasant, but at checkout the woman there was much nicer. The beds are pretty comfortable.

You get what you pay for!

Posted Feb 4, 2015
Pros: easy access to freeway
Cons: Seriously?
I was only here for the price but.. A homeless shelter would have been better. The breakfast was horrible. They put cold sausage out. the scrambled eggs were straight out of a bag and they didn't follow the directions on how much water to add. They were gross. They changed the time of the breakfast to accommodate cutting back on food consumption. Overall the place is a hole. A franchised hotel gives the corporate hotels a bad name. Clean it up La Quinta.

This hotel is not to the quality of La Quinta

Posted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: A visit from your corporate headquarters should be scheduled to improve this hotel.
Location: There were no restaurants close by. Just fast food. Traveled about 3 miles to the University Mall to be able to have a normal meal.
This hotel's linens are on the cheapest side of the scale. There were no cups in the room, no plastic bags in wastepaper cans, everything has been on done the very frugal side of the coin. Breakfast was taken down immediately, even though there were people still in the breakfast area eating. Breakfast was poor. (i.e. a dish of yogert in a bowl for everyone - no individual sealed portions, etc. Not the quality of other La Quinta hotels that we have stayed in.

Not as nice as we expected

Posted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: Location was good right off of the freeway
Cons: When you remodel, it should be finished! All of the carpet needs cleaned and at least vacuumed.
Location: Temple, BYU, shopping
As we walked down the hallway to our room, we noticed that there was no baseboard trim. The room including the bathroom had been painted, but they did not mask the ceiling or the door trim making everything look cheap. The TV reception was bad. The fitness center was NOT very good. None of the equipment was in great shape and all outdated. We had to pull the exercise bike over to be able to plug it in.

Was not very happy. NO pens the fridge didn't work. I was in having surgery my husband went to check in and because the reservation was in my name, he did have the credit card I used to reserve the room, they wouldn't let him check in. So he had no where to wait accept in the car until I got out of the hospital (11:00 pm) so I could check in. Very unhappy about that!!!!!

Decent Hotel. Hotel is older, but clean.

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Cons: Pool closes at 10 pm. We got in late and couldn't go swimming. should extend hours til at least 11pm.
Hotel is older, but the rooms are nice and clean. Elevator is a little scary.
