Hotel close to lots neccesities.

Posted May 2, 2015
This hotel was close to a lot of restaurants and businesses. We stayed at the hotel 5 years ago when we checked our son into BYU. The difference in the area was great after 5 years. A lot more restaurants from a variety of countries made the experience more enjoyable. We'll stay there again!!

Nice hotel. Centrally located.

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed and pillows. The hot tub and indoor pool are nice.
Cons: The continental breakfast charge is almost as much as the breakfast buffet. It should be included in the price of the room.
Location: Ther are plenty of dining options nearby.
The hotel staff is very friendly. The overall room quality was nice but the bathroom needed updating.

Central location

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Ease of access, central location.
Cons: I sometimes do ballet stretching exercises in my room. After 30 minutes, my feet were absolutely filthy; left black prints on the dry bathroom floor.
Location: As noted above, fun neighborhood. Lots of unexpected night life near BYU.
Two - three minutes walking provides a world of eating experiences from Mexican to Sri Lankan. Plenty of funky antique shops as well so if you're in the market for a human skeleton, bear skin rug, or a Victorian bell jar covering a Rhesus monkey in a red dress and pearl necklace, you'll find it here.

we spent valentines with a room that wasn't clean

Posted Feb 16, 2015
my wife and I spent valentines night there at the Provo Marriott and I've been there before and had a great experience my family only stays at Marriott's and they've always been good experiences however this room was completely filthy there were hairs everywhere there were no shampoo bottles no soap at all and by the time we were even into our hotel room we didn't have the desire to complaint to the staff but I expected more of such a nice hotel chain to not be sleeping with presumably the maids hair everywhere

I am extremely sorry to hear about your recent visit to the hotel. I'm glad to hear that you've had great experiences in the past but disappointed that you didn't have the same during the Valentine's weekend. Not knowing the specifics I'm unable to work with the actual room attendant but I did speak to the entire team and asked them to be more diligent with room cleanliness. Thank you for sending your comments and if you need to contact me or anyone at the hotel please let me know. Again I'm sorry and would like to apologize on behalf of those involved. Marriott Provo is a very modern hotel and clean!

Only issue with this hotel is the poorly managed bar. I sat at the bar and was served right away. When I asked for my next drink I also asked for a menu to order as I was travelling alone on business I normally just eat at the bar. Well, I got my 2nd drink and asked again for the menu. 15 minutes later I left and charged the drinks to my room. Went asleep hungry as I was going to fight to get fed by this horribly ran bar.

It was a busy night so the hotel should have been staffed accordingly. Almost everyone in our group had their room service cancelled minutes before it was to arrive because hotel was understaffed.Very disappointing.

Thank you for taking the time to send your comments in regards to your recent stay at the Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. As we pride ourselves on delivering a positive hotel experience, we have unfortunately fallen short of our goal during your recent stay. Please accept my sincere apology for the weekend and the hotel being ill-prepared. I couldn't agree more. I have shared your comments with the appropriate hotel teams and we have put into place measurements to ensure that this was an isolated issue that is corrected moving forward. We hope to have an opportunity to better your experience with us whenever your travels bring you back to Provo. Again, thank you for sending your comments as they help us become a better hotel. Sincerely, John Garfield General Manager

Disatisfied:

Posted Jan 13, 2015 on Hotels.com
I was very disappointed with not having 2[two] beds in my room. I specifically reserved a room for Two Adults and ended up having to have a roll a way bed brought up to our room. I certainly wasn't going to sleep with another male in the same Bed.
