Pszczyna is situated approximately 45 miles (72 kilometers) west of Krakow and 180 miles (290 kilometers) southwest of the national capital, Warsaw.
Pszczyna isn't the only place in Silesia worth experiencing; travelers can also take a day trip or two to experience the charms of the surrounding scenery, cities and towns. Szczyrk, 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the north, and Karczyce, 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the northeast of Pszczyna are also worth visiting should you have the time.
Approximately 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the north of Pszczyna is Katowice, an important regional city where you'll find Spodek, Silesian Stadium and Altus Tower. Parachute Tower Katowice, Silesian Museum and Silesian Philharmonic are good places to visit.
Whatever your beliefs, visitors are guaranteed to find a little serenity in Silesia 's churches and other holy sites. On a fine day, head outside to experience Silesia 's gardens.
When you hear the call of the great outdoors, do as the locals do and spend a few hours quad biking and bungee jumping. Winter is a great time to go to the Pszczyna area. Pull on your woollens and have a go at some of the wintersports here. Try cross-country skiing or snowboarding.
As you conclude your journey, pack your baggage and bid Pszczyna "Narazie" (farewell).
