Great hotel except for the Internet service which was very slow and we weren't notified that the pool was under construction till we got there. The concierge could be more informative. She wasn't from shanghai so she had to ask others and use the Internet to help us.

The hotel was great and the only uncomfort I had is the stairs in front gate when I move my luggage in. Our room was very clean and had necessary amenities such as night gown, slippers, iron, tooth brushes. The room condition was excellent and the air condition was good.
The subway station is 5-minutes walking distance, a shopping mall near the hotel is convenient to shop some clothes or to have a breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of the August and we had great time, and we will definitely go back again. There are four of us, my husband and I, with two kids, 11 and 8. Before our trip, we had hard time finding a hotel that accommodates 4 people, because most of hotels in China only allow 2 person in a room; even "family suite" is for 3 person. I guess that is Chinese standard family size. Anyway, finally found Marriot Executive suites, knowing Marriot standard, we booked it with confidence. Our two bedroom suite was SPACIOUS. It had full function kitchen, laundry, two full baths, and big living room. Room décor was modern and elegant. There were so many closets I was afraid I may leave some of my stuff in them and forget to retrieve. Hotel has a indoor pool, with steam room and sauna; everything was very well equipped and maintained to Marriot standard. It appears they were renovating the mall next door, so I heard some banging noise while I was swimming, but it didn't last long, and I certainly didn't hear it in the rooms. When I booked the room online, breakfast wasn't included, but it was offered to us for free, so it was a nice surprise. Breakfast had both Chinese and western food, so it was nice mix. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean. Highly recommend!
