We are budget tourists / backpackers and were looking for a cheap room which is still in a good shape. And it was! Our room was situated on the 1st floor. It was quite a big room with air-con, television and an attached bathroom with shower.
The staff at the reception was very efficient and helpful. When we checked in they gave us a city map and told us about the main sights in Kuala Lumpur and how to get there. Great job!
After that, without even asking, they provided the wifi password. It's free and we have to say it worked pretty well in our room. We can't remember when was the last time we had such a fast connection...
The hotel is also very convenient located near the Pudu station. If you take a shortcut, it's only 2 minutes walk (from the station turn left at the exit, after 50m or so turn right to cross the street through a narrow alley, and now you already see the hotel on the other side of the road).
About the shops and restaurants nearby: There is a 7-Eleven, a KFC, lots of Chinese restaurants as well as a Chinese night market.
We would definitely stay there again!

This is the only hotel I have stayed in Malaysia, so I cannot compare with others, but was overall impressed with the value of this hotel. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, and can speak English. The complimentary breakfast is decent. Free wireless internet is available in the lobby/dining room (signal does not reach rooms). The rooms are nothing fancy, but considering the price, an excellent value.
Note that there are no facilities located in the building for washing and drying clothes.
There are small, very inexpensive local eateries located a short walk down a nearby side street. There is a commuter train station nearby (about a 6 min. walk).
Travelers arriving at the airport (an hour+ drive from the city) can take the Star Shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel. The bus ticket costs 18 ringgit. The bus takes you to a drop off point in Kuala Lumpur, where you will transfer to a limo van to go to the hotel. There is no additional charge for the limo, but the driver asked for a 10 ringgit tip (which is reasonable). Be sure to have the address of Tiara Inn handy, as the limo driver was not familiar with this hotel, but was able to locate it by the address.

Went to KL and booked this hotel because it was cheap and very close to the all hotspots in the city. When I arrived and saw the hotel from the outside I had second thoughts about the rooms , but the rooms were very clean and staff was very helpful .
If your visiting KL for a couple of days and want a cheap clean hotel then I highly recommend staying at at victory street hotel II.

This was my second stay here within a year and again the accommodation lived up to my expectations. A delightful cafe called "Secret Recipe" is just beside it, serving great coffee, cakes and meals. Will stay here again.

The manager named KENNY is a good guy, he gives the best tip about the city how to travel and visit places. breakfast given was ok but not upto our expectation. The room comes with different rates, so its affordable. one thing bad about this hotel is its located at puduraya.. which is quite little outer city.. if you want to enjoy the city and shopping with less taxi fares. then watch out for hotels near Chinatown and Berjiya time square. this hotel is best because GOOD WIFI and good staffs and near to PUDU station with a 5min walk.
