I didn't like that the receptionist wanted to charge me almost 4 dollars to chnage my booking from a smoking to non smoking room because apparently i booked a smoking room. I disnt even know they still had a smoking room.
The bathroom door is broken and the floor has stains.
I will definitely not stay there anymore, the reception is terrible...no prople skils she looks mean and is mean!
They allow cats, which is huge for me. I attempted to stay at a motel 6 but between the cops there and that clerk telling me to come back in 10, I left & found Microtel. Service was outstanding at check-in & check-out, room was clean and comfy, and they easily accommodated an easy access room for this limited mobility body. Will stay there again.

I loved Microtel. It was clean and very quiet. The desk staff were nice and helpful and the breakfast was good. I was very impressed with how quiet it was.

It has been over a week and I still haven't had my $75 "incidentals deposit" returned. I left the room in perfect order after only staying one night. I do not smoke or anything like that and gave them ZERO reasons to keep my deposit. This is criminal.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us. I verified your account and we did drop the authorization for the deposit prior to your check out on November 22. The process of the authorization is we take the deposit upon check in, this is an authorization only, not a charge. When you check out if there isn't any damages, missing items, etc., we release the deposit. This means that the authorization disappears like it never happened. In the end, you should see no charge from Microtel Pueblo Southgate on your credit card. It's an auth and a drop. never a charge and refund. Please check again, you should see no transactions from the hotel directly. Thank you!

When we checked in on Saturday, the woman at the desk was very, very unfriendly. I was surprised as these are the folks greeting you. Other than that, our stay was great. Room was clean and comfy.

Room reeked of smoke
Be careful booking. They have smoking floor. We chose a standard queen room which did not indicate it was smoking or nonsmoking and were given a smoking room. When we asked for a nonsmoking room we were told that was all they had available and would not refund our money even though we did not stay and they were turning customers away.

We were turning people away because we were sold out on this particular day. I am sorry that you did not see that a smoking room was booked, that was the last room availability at that time.

Great hotel, it is a little dated, but very comfortable. The hotel could use a better maintenance crew, but they do well with limited skills.
Staff is super friendly, they will help you with anything that you need.

We arrived late and the toilet was plugged up. The morning hostess came and fixed it. The handicapped showers curtain is too dhort so water sprays all over the floor msking it slippery

It’s fine
Nothing to write home about really. It was a bed and bathroom, nothing more. AC was nice since you could set the temp rather than just hi/med/low which you get in some hotels and you can never get a comfortable temp. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was bare minimum but the coffee was good

Not so good. Location Ok. Close to restaurants. But night staff very rude. It was almost like we were interrupting her at check in. She just ignored us at first. The got up from her desk reluctantly, no greeting or anything. Basically, what do you want. Rooms are very small. Bed barely fits in room. Never stay here again.
