How should I start, it is one of those hotels you want to love, but there is this sensation that there is something missing. For the cost; you would expect an out of this world experience, but instead, you end up with a hotel that is trying to do something great, but is missing on the execution. The hotel is secluded, you will need to take a 30 - 40 minute taxi to arrive to their location. Hotel does not provide their own transportation, instead they help you book a taxi with the airport, which will cost you 1,400 mxn, ~70 usd for a roundtrip. I was able to find transportation to and from at a fraction of that cost. If you truly want to be secluded, this is the hotel for you, but be warned that you will be far from the city center and other beaches. It would not be a big issue, but you are solely depended on the hotel to arrive to the main highway since they have this road that is not well kept that makes it difficult to get off the premises. I attempted to walk the road, which is about 1.5 miles from the entrance of the hotel to the main road, but fail short because of the conditions. Luckily, a local gave us a lift to the main road. So if you are trying to see the other beaches or the other great activities Puerto Escondido has to offer, you will either need to make a local connection or depend on the hotel, which will cost you a pretty penny, For example, seeing the bioluminescence phenomenon, it will cost you 1,300 mxn/person, which is about 65 usd.
