Hotel with beautiful garden

Posted Apr 8, 2015
The room, which was actually an apartment with kitchen and 2 balconies, was basic but fine. The best thing was the lovely garden, where we had breakfast in. Nice to hang out there. Also the hotel staff was really friendly and helpful.

Agradable estncia

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Hermoso jardín, buenas camas. limpieza en general.
Cons: El wi fi no es bueno en Villa Mozart.
Location: Lugares pra comer a corta disancia.

Friendly boutique hotel

Comfortable with delicious, freshly cooked Mexican - but not large - breakfasts. Quirky artwork throughout. Extremely helpful staff. Amazing location right in the heart of the colonial city but with rooms around a quiet courtyard so no noise disturbance. Highly recommended.

This hotel is well situated in the suburb of Carrisilillo. While it needs a bit of maintenance, it was spacious and had necessary implements in the kitchen. A very good value for the price.

Good hotel close to Carrizalillo beach

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: location, quiet, king bed.
Cons: The staff forgot to clean the room one day or so during the week. Wasn't much of a problem.
Location: See above.
Villa Mozart y Macondo is a 7-unit hotel just two short blocks from the stairs to Carrizalillo beach, perhaps the best beach in Puerto Escondido. I rented through Expedia. The price was good and I had no problems with the reservation. The rate included breakfast of toast, jam and coffee each morning, with several larger and good breakfasts available for 80 pesos more. We stayed in room # 4, ground level, with a king size bed. There is adequate water pressure and hot water. The room opens to the garden and also through a short corridor to the Rinconada, where there are many good restaurants. Taxis are plentiful. There was no air conditioning so the room was warm in the evening, but the overhead fan helped and it cooled off in a few hours. The hotel seemed quiet and we liked all of the staff we met.

We rented the bungalow

Posted Dec 21, 2014
we rented the bungalow for 5 days and we had a very pleasant experience. The bungalow is a nice option for a longer stay. I found Puerto Escondido can be quite noisy at night (we were there in mid-December) so bring your ear plugs. All staff were very nice and resourceful. Best Regards.

Peaceful place near Carrizalillo

Posted Dec 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Quiet place for people who likes art. Near to beautiful and small Carrizalillo beach. But take in account the access to the beach is by long stairs. The only problem, there was no wifi in my room.

Great value, good location

Posted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, jungle garden dining area
Cons: Fumigate and let air out before arrival.
Location: Block from beach. 3 blocks from snorkel beach. Mile from centre of town.
Located adjacent to cleaner restaurants. Front side of hotel is a busy road Benito Juarez. Very loud at night as they don't have mufflers.

Good time

Posted Nov 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
I really enjoyed my stay. The owner and staff were very friendly. The location was great, a short walk (down many stairs) to a great beach. Right next to a strip of restaurants, cafes and shops, so good access to everything. Pretty close to the airport. Beautiful, relaxing garden. Down sides: it was a little hot with no A/C and the ceiling fan didn't cool things off that much, was kind of loud. Wifi didn't reach the room, had to sit in garden to use it. Garden was very pleasant, but lots of biting ants.
