Cons: The WiFi connectivity could use some improvement
Loved the view, the food, the staff ... the way down to the beach it's a bit of a hike, but nothing extreme...just loved the entire experience , it's a must see!

A beautiful place to stay

Posted Jan 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
Although I'm hesitant to give this review because too many will come, here goes. We stayed in a villa that was amazing. Although it probably was a two or three star, it was very comfortable. The view, people (both staff and guests) and the ambiance were amazing. $2US for a cab ride anywhere, but why would you want to leave?

Great Location!

Posted Sep 29, 2012 on Hotels.com
My husband and I spent three nights at the Villas Carrizalillo and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Between our spacious villa, the terrific on-site restaurant and access to the lovely beach, we never felt the need to leave the area. Terrific sunset views also from this location. This would be a great property if you are lucky enough to have a longer stay planned, as kitchen was well-supplied and our unit (Puebla) very spacious and comfortable.

Perfect vacation with sun and waves

Posted Apr 9, 2012
Pros: Access to the best beach in Puerto Escondido
Location: Playa Carrizalillo is a quiet, small beach. Ideal for swimming and relaxing.
Villas Carrizalillo is a beautiful place to stay if you are traveling with your significant other or your family. A very quiet place, the staff is very, very friendly and always willing to help. The rooms are very clean and A/C is a blessing, most of them have kitchens and living rooms, and look for rooms with balcony to get an awesome view (Mitla, Colorada rooms, for example. To access the beach you must go down a set of about 30 stairs. It can be a challenge, but once you realize that Carrizalillo is the best beach in Puerto Esconido to relax, you'll know that is worth it. Surf lessons can be taken, but the waves are very small. Zicatela surf beach and other popular spots are 10 minutes away from Villas Carrizalillo.

Best option in Puerto Escondido

Posted Jan 30, 2011
My wife and I travelled with a close friend in Mexico and stopped in Puerto Vallarta. Carrizalillo has Villas with two separate Bedrooms at a good price. The location on top of the cliff is georgeous with excellent sunsets. Very quiet but still close to the city - if you have a car that is. The restaurant offers good food at a reasonable price.
