Nice hotel for crossing the Andes into Argentina

Nice hotel. We crossed the Andes from here (Croce Andinos) which is a brilliant all day trip into Bariloche, Argentina via 3 lakes and 4 buses.

This hotel has a beautiful view, good restaurant and is situated just at the edge of Puerto Varas main commercial area. You can walk to several good restaurants downtown or to the tour companies, so there is no need to rent a car.

Pros: Everything
Location: Wonderful location, with a great view of the lake and volcano, very close to downtown.
Our stay was at the end of a road trip and this was the perfect hotel! The staff was incredibly nice from the checking in to the waiters, bell boys etc.... We enjoyed the bar, restaurant and spa and they were all wonderful. The view from the rooms was amazing!!! The beds were very comfortable and the location of the hotel was very convenient, close to downtown and easy to get to.

Nice hotel in Puerto Varas

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Location, comfort, food
Cons: Staff should be more responsive
Location: Puerto Varas is the center of indoor & and outdoor activities in a wonderful environment of lakes, rivers, volcanoes, cultural activities & entertainm
Hotel very well located. Our room had a wonderful view to the lake and volcanoes and was very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was very good and included sweeties typical of this zone of Chile. Food at the restaurant was also excellent and the bar was very cozy and had a good selection of drinks and food. The staff was affable but was not very responsive. Our first room didn't have connection to the WIFI and took them two days to come to the conclusion the solution was to change rooms.

Pretty outside, boring inside.

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: Location. Outside (facade).
Cons: Quality of furnishings. Service (a bit weak).
Location: Easy stroll to town. Great views - no, awesome views. Everything is within walking distance.
This hotel was a bit of a disappointment. Nothing terrible happen, nor did anything great. The outside of the hotel is gorgeous, perched on a hill overlooking the lake. Once inside, nothing is that special, specially not the room. I paid for a luxury room, which could be better named "normal room". It has no luxury finishes, or furniture, or ambiance. As a matter of fact the one thing it did have was an extremely noisy heating unit. I called front desk to ask for it to be checked. I don't know if they ever came by the room as we got tired of waiting and decided to make the most of our time and left to walk about Puerto Varas. The hotel feels like a regular chain hotel (not a boutique hotel), which is ok if that's what you expected when booking. Final word: this was the least interesting stay of our 2 week trip - yet, to be clear, not a bad stay.
