Wow! We were all-inclusive. A must. If you don't, you'll spend big!
1st, the staff. Just amazing. Friendly, attentive, courteous, and on and on.
2nd, the grounds and room. Beautiful. We really felt like we were in a 5 star resort. You don't need to bring anything. Don't worry about towels, tooth brush, shampoo, tooth paste, it's all there. The resort has a nice little convenience store you can purchase sun screen, deodorant, food, etc.
3rd, food and beverage. Room service, restaurant, and pool bar had amazing food. The menu is slightly different at each location, and you're unable to get an item you like at the restaurant for room service. Not sure why, but we didn't care.
4th, kids club. Our two younger boys loved it. At first they didn't want to go, then they didn't want to leave. Plenty of kids their age and activities to keep them entertained while not at the pool
This is not a pro or con, but consider. The hotel is not very busy, yet. This was only an issue for our 12 year old daughter that was too 'cool' for the kids club. There were not many girls her age at the resort, so she felt slightly disappointed.
Concierge helped us book trips to Xcaret and the Dolphin swim. We looked online prior to arriving, the pricing was exactly the same. If you book Xcaret, just know it's ALOT of walking. It was tough for our youngest, 5, and my parents, 70 and 71. We booked private transportation so we could leave when we decided.
