“Wonderful getaway....”

My husband and I (40 something) just returned from a 4 night stay at Celuisma Paraiso Tropical. The property is all inclusive but is somewhat smaller and more intimate that other all inclusives I have been to before both in Mexico and DR. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept. The room was simple yet comfortable. The ladies who cleaned it everyday were super sweet and hard working. The pool areas were inviting. Beach is gorgeous but a little too windy for my liking...we are more pool people anyway and we had a nice view of it from the pool. We have been to Punta Cana before and that water was still and that Caribbean turquoise blue...Cabarete is ocean...wind and waves, but gorgeous. The activity staff was awesome...the best I've ever experienced...very professional AND entertaining. Plenty of food to meet our taste. Ice cold Presidente always on hand. Bring your own container for the beer and water because it is served in tiny "Dixie-size" cups. That would be my only "complaint". Outstanding value for the money. One more tip-bring your own shampoo.

“Not Satisfied”

The pictures online were a bit deceiving. I don't like being negative, but I really don't have anything positive to say about this place. The food was not good, the beach was dirty, and the rooms were far from well kept. I guess on the good side, one waiter was really nice, the entertainers were very energetic, and the entrance to the hotel had a unique old-fashioned look.

“I will not go back.”

They cut the air condition from 8:00 A.M to 5:00;to hot, could not sleep,Food is good, but most of the employees eat at the same time that guess do,so just one or two come to help their guess for drinks, some time even the manager or leaders get better care that their clients do,fair live show,on the beach the sand is nice, but the sea is more for surfing that for swimming,Restaurant a la cart is not realy a la cart,at least the Tailand, make sure to be puntual or will get a reprimend, and they will not serve you,and unless you ask no body tells you what are you eating.

“All inclusive, but leaving much to be desired”

I stayed here with my 3 girlfriends for a few days of relaxation. We stayed during the off-tourist season, and were probably 4 of about 12 total guests at the resort at the end of April. The other guests were all sleezy American men with their Dominican prostitutes, which made for a sour atmosphere when hanging out around the pool and at dinner. The pools were beautiful (there are two of them, one is quieter and one is supposed to be a party atmosphere). The food and drinks were disappointing at best. I am not a picky eater, but I found myself barely eating anything at the meals because nothing was palatable - the food was very salty and not very flavorful. The drinks were hit or miss - the most disappointing was that the beer from the tap was most certainly not Presidente, which the bartender said they were serving us. The rooms were hit or miss as well. My room's bathroom door and walls were molding away, but my friend's room was nicer. Also, when I accidentally locked my key in the room, their solution was to climb into the room via the outside window, which made me feel entirely unsafe and relieved that I was checking out later that day. Overall, I would say skip this place and spend the money on something a little nicer and higher quality.

“Don't Believe The Internet Presentation”

we had to ask where to find the reception desk. The reception clerks were quite cordial, and provided a single sheet of instructions/listing of hotel services, meal times, etc. Our room was dreadful, tiny, one double? bed, and no view. We requested a different room, and were shown a larger room with only high, basement style windows, and a third bed, obviously for a larger family, not cleaned yet. Finally we accepted a room with two beds, normal windows, and a small ground floor balcony - large enough for one patio chair, if we had one. Food was strictly Buffet style, redundant in 3 days, and usually cool. They provided access to one Mexican and one Thai restaurant, but only 2 nights a week each. Thrick was, you had to sign in between 9 AM and 1 PM, and usually maxed out immediately. Never made the list. Cleanileness - not bad, but we spilled a drink by the night stand the first night and it was still there when we left. The entertainment was lively, but? For example, the best eveniong we participated they had BINGO. To be fair, it rained most days and we did not spend time at the beach. Both pools were very nice. The Good - Each meal had a "frypan chef" cook individual items - omlets in the AM, pasta and sauce at lunch or in the PM, and ribs one PM. All were very good. Only beer was Presidenti on tap - not very cold, and lacked any "life." All in all, about equivalent is all ways to a roadside Motel in hte $25 to $45 in he US.

“Very dissapointed”

I made a reservation to a hotel in the Cabarete Beach, based in the pictures and the information you posted in the internet. Have you ever revised the publicity you offer? I dont think so. The hotel was the worst I have seen, Dirty, all aged, the seats completely rusted, the beach was not suitable to swim, yje air conditioning did not work, the bed sheets were dirty, overused and torned. The bathroon was full of fungus, the swimming pool was green ans fishy smelly, did not have a parking lot, must park the cars out in the street. The door were rusty and did not have any secure, must put the bed toward the door to havely secure....

“My Experience”

This place is a dump and should not be listed here. Quite frankly I was embarrassed to even step foot in the lobby. I had to pay for another hotel after I saw that piece of crap. Please Folks stay away from this dump in Puerto Plata in Dominican Republic.
