overall a great hotel. I loved it.

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: see above
Location: everything. Condado was awesome. Except for the pillows issue, I think it was just as a nice a room as la Concha near by for less than half the cost
Suggestions: I missed out the breakfast the first day because nobody told me about a breakfast when I checked in the night before. The night staff was ok but not necessarily friendly. Room was great with only one suggestion: PILLOWS. Every night, I slept with the bed skirt as part of my pillow and all of my t-shirts because the provided pillows were so thin, but the room itself was beautiful and the environs of the hotel.

Very close to the beach!

Posted Jun 6, 2014
Our experience was an B+ Staff was very nice and helping, I didnt like the fact that they couldnt provide us at least one more pillow for our room. Pillows were so flat! I love how it was a block away from walgreens and two blocks from the beach. They lock the doors in front after a certain time, that was nice. We didnt like that they didnt have at least a small fridge to put our left overs at. Breakfast was over too early! At 9am! That was crazy. For a place just to sleep is fine but not to relax in.

Great for an on a budget visit to PR!

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: The location is really perfect. The rooms are simple bit comfortable. It is 2 blocks from the ocean, restaurants, high end shops and casino!
Cons: The breakfast is served from 7-9am which ended a bit early for me. Also, it would be great if they provided beach towels so I didn't have to pack one
Location: The beach is so close & it is super cheap to rent chairs. So many great restaurants nearby. Old San Juan is a short cab ride away.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at Casa Cadado & I highly recommend. It is a boutique style hotel. The rooms are minimalist but very pleasant & there is a terrace where complimentary breakfast is served. We got such an amazing deal here though Expedia & I would definitely go back!

Not fancy, but clean and affordable

Posted May 7, 2014
Pros: Good value.
We were looking for an inexpensive place to spend a short night before leaving on a cruise. Hotels in Puerto Rico seem to be either high-end expensive or low-end roach motels with not much in between. This one, however, suited our needs perfectly. It was certainly not fancy but our room was very clean and had adequate air conditioning. It included a basic continental breakfast with coffee, pastries and fruit. It was located about half-way between the airport and the cruise terminal so the location was fairly convenient, and was about two blocks from the beach for travelers who want a beach experience.

Good Enough

Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: Location to the beach, deck, quietness.
Cons: Attitude of particular staff worker.
Location: Walking distance from the beach, clubs/bars, restaurants and shopping.
This was a decent place to stay. Did not offer various amenities (not even an in room phone), but had a deck, and beach was about two blocks away. Staff was ok, not overly welcoming. We only experienced rudeness from one of the male staff members who would not look up at us and answered our questions curtly as if we were disturbing him (he was just browsing the internet). The shower in my room was lukewarm but my companions' room had decent heat. As far as housekeeping, you have to request cleaning in the a.m. before breakfast. And even after that request, expect that it may take hours before your room is taken care of ( I left, ate breakfast and went to the beach for about four hours before returning and my room still hadn't been cleaned).

Decent hotel for the price

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Good price with all the basic necessities. Room is in decent condition and complimentary breakfast was decent.
Cons: No elevator so you have to bring your luggage up the stairs. AC and TV could be improved. No storage space, had to keep everything in my suitcase
Casa Condado is located very close to the beach about 2 blocks away. There's also a walgreen's close by for your everyday necessities. Old San Juan is alos just a short drive away. The hotel itself is just average but decent considering its low price. It comes with the most basic necessities (e.g. bed, washroom, towels) and also a crappy TV which had to be placed at a certain angle otherwise there'd be static on the screen. The AC was quite poor as well, my friend and I found it pretty loud and had some trouble with temperature control, finding it either too hot or cold. The shower itself was decent and came it with soap, shampoo and conditioner. I personally found the pillows somewhat flat although my friend was okay with it and there were no extra pillows that could be provided when I asked. Also there is no elevator so you would have to bring your luggage up the stairs. Hotel staff was decent, I found some quite friendly and some to have a cold attitude.

Great for overnight stay.

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: The location at a reasonable price.
Cons: Put a lock on the bathroom window (large enough to crawl through.
Location: Beach - two blocks, Walgreens - 1 block, Taxis on street near hotel, close to airport and cruise terminal.
The hotel is nicely located a couple of blocks from the beach. Some shopping nearby. Room was clean and comfortable for an overnight stay before the cruise next day. Hotel located between airport and cruise terminal a ($21) taxi ride either way. The only negative about the room was that the bathroom window lock had been removed (an easy fix). Breakfast was bagels, cereal, muffins and fruit with coffee. Enough for us. I would stay here again.

Get some friendly people to work at the reception!

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: The hotel was clean and tidy.
Cons: Elevator and replacement of the daytime receptionist would be a great improvement!
Location: Perfect location
We arrived at 1:30 pm (April 4, 2014) and the receptionist treated us as if we were not standing in front of her! I thought she was actually joking as it turns out she was bothered by our presence... and said room not ready come back in an hour. I asked if I could leave my bags in a secured location... she pointed to the corner and said leave it there. I asked is it safe to leave them in the lobby? She said "don't you see me here?". She was simply rude and would rather not be there... her replacement was a friendly guy as was the night replacement as well. Came the morning, there she was again... just as bright and cherry as the day before. I asked if I could please get a taxi. She said... "its cheaper if you go down to the main street (2 blocks away) and wave a taxi there". She just did not want to be bothered with anything... I witnessed her testing other guests in the exact same manner. Otherwise this hotel is an economical stay... we only stayed the one night, before boarding the cruise ship!
