For the price you can't beat it, short walk to the beach, nightlife, shopping! Convienient access to bus and taxis, cruise ship terminals. Very charming, romantic tropical courtyard, friendly staff. Beds are a little soft but that's just my preference. Great, inexpensive place to stay in the heart of the Condado District. We will be back, highly recomended!

“Inexpensive, GREAT location!”

Casa de caribe is not the marriot. The ice cooler is taped together, but works great! , and the continental breakfast is cheap. But the rooms are Huge! And The location is Awesome. Its Tucked away in some trees just off of Ashford street, The main road in san juan. We were really just looking for a "home base" while on vacation. a nice big CLEAN bed, AC, and low rates. Casa de caribe was perfect. Our room was tidy every morning and the staff are very friendly. There are only about a dozen rooms so privacy was no problem. Cable worked well and the beach is about ten minutes away if your walking. Im telling all of my friends and family to stay and Support local Puerte rico!!!!

“Settling into the Puerto Rican lifestyle”

I was very impressed by this charming hotel. The amenities were not as modern and commercial as some would prefer, but in most ways they were better! The hotel is located within one block from the turquoise blue Atlantic Ocean (in the Condado area between Ocean Park and Old San Juan)where you can live like the locals and easily walk, take a bus, or catch a cab to so many locations. The rooms/ suites were colorful, clean, air-conditioned, and decorated in provincial SanJuan style. The self-serve continental breakfast was in the outdoor, covered courtyard where you can relax among the hotel's adorable, caged parrots, tranquil water fountain, and local, adorable cat . It was the perfect "casa" in which to begin and end my fun-filled days in Puerto Rico. The hotel staff were friendly, courteous, and would go out of their way to be sure your stay was comfortable and that your questions were answered. Definitely a wonderful mix of hotel freedom with guest-house charm!

“A good hotel for the budget traveler.”

The hotel is comfortable and is a block away from several restaurants and the beach. The staff is helpful and polite. It has minimum facilities but it feels safe. Be warned - since the hotel is not on the beach there is no view of the "waters" from the windows. It is a good hotel when you know you do not have to spend quality hours inside. I would recommend it to travelers on a small budget.

“Great deal, local charm”

I loved staying at Casa del Caribe, because it provided a very authentic Puerto Rican experience, much more similar to how locals live than a hotel would be. I chose it because it was the lowest price I could find in San Juan, and was pleasantly surprised by how great it was, because I knew it would not have fancy details like nearby hotels. We enjoyed a complimentary breakfast of cereal, toast, sweet rolls and coffee each morning on a sweet little patio; the front desk staff was polite and helpful; and our room was clean, air-conditioned, and the bed was so comfortable! The place was simple and sweet, and one of my favorite things about our trip.

“Champagne Taste with Beer Money!”

I've been to P.R a few times, stay in big chain hotels that offer nothing then a bed! So i decided to try Casa Del Caribe B/B . My stay was wonderful and i was in touch with the locals who informed me of the authentic places to Dine(BeBo $10 meals) and party.The bus(75cents) stop leading to Old San Jaun is a stone throw away.Since P.Rico dont have any all-inclusive Hotel this is the ultimate place to get more bang for your buck. Ed the manager is very helpful and guiding around town.

“Close enough to the Marriot”

Casa Del Caribe is a nice small boutique hotel where there are about 12 rooms only. You can relax and unwind without anyone bothering you, and hear the Coqui sounds all night. They serve a continental breakfast which is fine toast, donuts, cereal, coffee, tea & water. Since this hotel/Inn is one block of the main strip it's considerable cheaper atleast by 50-100 dollars per night, depending on the season. Condado has a great shore line of beaches and if you stay at Casa del Caribe you are less than 5 minutes away, there are 3.00 rental of chairs on the beach, 10.00 day boogie board rental . There are more than enough restaurants and one deli on the end of the strip across the park that has good food 24/7. The room was clean and affordable!

“A good replacement hotel”

I was moved to another hotel in the chain after being told that I had no reservation at Casa del Caribe. The new hotel ACACIA is clean, had good linens, good service, attentive staff and the lobby exudes a very nice ambiance. It is also half a block from the beach and very close to the center of San Juan. It has no parking though and did not serve complimentary breakfast as promised. The beach nearby is clean. I would recommend and definitely stay at this hotel again.
