Comfortable, home-like small hotel

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Ricardo! Wonderful help when we needed it with a medical issue! The hotel is very comfortable with lots of plants, and pleasant gathering areas
Cons: Internet in our room was weak but in the lobby it was great. There was quite a bit of traffic noise in the front of the building.
Location: Close to restaurants, shopping and the bus stop.
We stayed 2 nights while exploring Condado and old San Juan

Not my favorite hotel but fine

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Overall not a bad stay. The location and breakfast were great. However the beds were very uncomfortable, the staff was not friendly or welcoming, and not having parking for free was an issue. I will also mention that the room was extremely clean.

Loved it!!

Posted Jan 6, 2015
I loved this hotel it was a little gem right in Condado Beach. The rooms were small but there was plenty of leisure space with couches and tables and a full kitchen for guest use. There was also a coin operated laundry. I would defiantly stay here again, it was comfortable and the location is excellent!

Peaceful hotel, helpful staff

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Location: Short walk to local markets, many excellent restaurants and art galleries. Also along a bus route that has you in Old San Juan within about 15 minutes
We stayed for several nights. The hotel is lovely, clean and quiet. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with directions, food recommendations, etc. A block's walk to the beach and most amenities. We particularly enjoyed the communal spaces in the hotel - a rec room, pool, jacuzzi and rooftop garden were often empty for us to enjoy on our own. Several business people staying in the hotel appeared to enjoy quietly working in the breakfast area - the free WiFi, fresh air and garden would make working from the hotel a pleasure. The continental breakfast was good, the coffee excellent and available 24hrs. We were also impressed with the reasonable prices of the items in the mini bar - the water was the same cost as walking to the store! The only negative is that, being as close to the main drag as it is, the road noise could be a bit loud, depending on which side of the hotel you were on. Still, a minor point in an otherwise excellent boutique hotel.

Boutique Hotel in Condado with an Old World Charm

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Architecture, cleanliness, friendly staff
Cons: less pastries for breakfast and serve wine or a tropical cocktail after 5 pm (not offered)
Location: There are plenty of restaurants in the area, it is two blocks from the beach, and close to other stores (Walgreens for that sun tan lotion left home.
I spent a week at the Coral Princess. The hotel has a friendly staff and an Old World charm to it. This boutique hotel is in a converted Condado house that has the high ceilings and tile floors. It is located in Magdalena Avenue and is conveniently located to the beaches, casinos, and dinning areas. I would return. The hotel also offers some amenities to the guests (about 30 rooms), those include a small swimming pool, a patio in the back of the hotel that is covered and where one can take one's breakfast and coffee, a coin-operated laundry room, and (upstairs, the third floor) a Jacuzzi and room to relax. There is also an internet connection and that connection is ok. As for breakfast, it features croissants, PR pastries, fruit, juices, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and cereal. The highlight, for me, was the "espresso machine" that enables one to choose among five different styles of coffees, such as latte, macchiato, espresso, cappuccino, and one more that escapes me. One last thing, Condado is in Zone 3, and the taxi from the airport will take 15 minutes (max) to get to the hotel. While there is some parking at the hotel, it is minimal. One can around the area easily using public transportation, walking, or flagging a taxi. Enjoy the Coral Princess!
