A Ponce treasurePosted May 15, 2015
Pros: The room was clean, the staff is very friendly and always make you feel welcome.
Cons: The only thing missing is a nice beach, the beach wasn't great, no much they can't do about it.
Location: Plaza del Caribe mall is about 5 minutes away and Ponce's downtown offer a variety of great restaurants and the best natural ice cream parlor.
It's not only a beautiful resort, the staff is also great, they go above and beyond to make sure you are having a pleasant time!!!

Positive, relaxing & unique.Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Tranquil. Plenty of chairs (not the most visually attractive but abundant and easy to move around). Strategic layout for sun & shade: pool is heavily landscaped with palm trees creating natural shading with enough sunlight breaking through; other "sunning" areas set up around the pool for when you want a lot of sun; abundant number of umbrellas; great lounging options which include beds, cabanas, comfy chairs for conversational sitting areas; very easy to spend the whole day at the pool in comfort without over-exposure to the sun. Beach is small but adequate: if you love the beach more than the pool it might not feel satisfying. Great layout for families with kids, includes: mini-golf, chess, tennis, bikes, playground, basketball court, shuffleboard, bikes, balls, some arcade games and a ton of other activities which are within eye-shot of the pool making it easy to keep track of your kids and take play breaks with them without interrupting your vibe. Nice little water slide. Extra-positive note on this: Somehow the proximity of kids play space doesn't equal loud and noisy. The sound of the surf, the breezes and birds are all I noticed and we were here during presidents week which I imagine is a fairly popular time for families to travel. Decent pool food (it's the menu from the poolside bar & grill) with reasonable prices and selection. Grounds are pretty and landscaping is well-maintained. Cons: Looks like a shrine to the 80's which is retro-cool enough for tho

Ok hotel, close to water, no real beach.Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: It is a great hotel if you have small children (under 10). Lots of pool and poolside activities geared toward that age group. My kids are teenagers.
Cons: Attentiveness of the staff.
Location: Boardwalk is 10 min away. Closest clear and shallow water with a beach is in Guanica - 35 miles away. Old San Juan is an hour and a half away.
We were under impression this was a hotel with a beach but it is not a usable beach at all. It forced us to travel 35 miles away in search of a usable beach.

Everything you need if traveling with little ones!Posted Apr 3, 2015
First let me say that I have been to pretty much every part of the island including Culebra. Ponce and the Hilton in general is very laid back (in a good way). We travled with our 2 yr old and this place was a blessing. Water slide into a very generous size pool, a kiddie pool, a sprinkler park for the kids, 2 hot tubs and a tanning deck for the wife. Every morning the pool area is cleaned and the pool is vacuumed. Staff were very helpful with any activities you might want to do. The kids playscape was very useful for evening play after dinner. You can pretty much play tennis, volleyball, ride bikes Etc all day. Beach area is just ok. The convieneance of having everything in one place is whats great about this place. Food is a bit expensive as well as drinks but I guess if you don't have to leave the hotel it works. We rented a car and went to grocery store to buy fruit and snacks. Restaurants are in the area but you need a car. $10 a day for parking and hotel charges a Daily convineance charge 14%. Golf is 59 per round and to rent clubs 69 which is pricey but the course seemed in beautiful shape. Having a 2 yr old we stayed by the pool and rode the water slide. Casino is mostly slots with 3 Texas Holdem tables and 6 black jack tables. Lizards roam the hotel or as my son called the dinosaurs. Overall awesome experience. Oh yeah our son took a nap everyday at noon which is when house keeping came around. We simply put a do not disturb sign they return latr

Nice hotel, beach was super windy though.Posted Mar 18, 2015
We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a dance show. We loved it. I did get sand blasted on the beach though. The pool was great for the kids too.

Not bad but over pricedPosted Mar 12, 2015
Cons: Food, prices and service.
Location: No to far from town center and interesting places to visit.
Dinning area infested with birds that will flight to your table and try to feed. bird droppings are common on table and chairs. Food is over priced and common nothing over the top.
