Pros: My room , the pool, the beach and the staff.
Cons: for me everything is great !
Location: great Location
I was there for only one night but it was great i would definitely stay there again for a longer time period .

Pleasantly Surprised

Pros: Pool, swim up bar, beach.
Cons: The elevators were horrible but the are going to upgrade them. The gym equipment could have functioned better.
Having booked the wrong hotel and not having many options left, I was lucky enough to book the Intercontinental. Although I had to cave to an upgrade for an ocean view it was worth it. My wife was so happy I chose to go with a different hotel AFTER losing out on a non cancellable reversvation through Expedia. The Intercontinental's pool was gorgeous and open 24/7 compared to the Sheraton which had a puny pool only open til 10:00PM and no beach close by. The rooms were fairly well kept and spacious.

elevators where not working or being repaired.

Pros: pool
Cons: elevators
Location: el morro, shopped old san juan
Hotel was nice. Noisy people on my floor and when i called front desk, they didn’t come. Had to walk up and don’t to the 6th floor, because of the non-working elevator. And when the elevator did work, it was crowed and stopped on ever floor. Casino is very out dated and small.

Beautiful Vacation!

I extremely enjoyed my vacation at the Intercontinental! You must have a high ocean front view to enjoy it thoroughly though. Just be prepared for the expensive meals and drinks. We went out to eat and bought food from the mini mart across the street and bought alcohol from there also. But the hotel, beach and pool was perfect for us!

Wonderful Beach Experience

Pros: We enjoyed the "on property" restaurants. It is a treat to see a Ruth Chris steakhouse without the long wait for table or service.
Cons: The elevator service was extremely slow, especially with one elevator down for service.
Location: The hotel is a $20.00 cab ride to Old San Juan for touring and shopping. A variety of restaurants are located within walking distance.
We had an ocean view room that provided an outstanding view of the beach and ocean beyond. The beach service was very good although the drinks were pricey. The beach restaurant served a nice variety of sandwiches and oven baked "hand made" pizza. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and family for their stay in San Juan.

Hotel right on the beach and great pool area

Pros: OVERALL I REALLY THINK WE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE the staff made up for the few small inconveniences
Location: walking distance to local restaurants, nice beach area, short drive/bus trip to Old San Juan- a little over an hour to kayak, snorkel, Rainforest
we planned this trip last minute (less than 3 weeks planning) I was a little nervous about some of the reviews I read, but we wanted a resort on the beach, close to tourist attractions, and that would give the experience of being at a resort. We were Very pleased with our choice. I asked for adjoining rooms (on the expedia website) for my husband and I who were traveling with our two young adult daughters- and to our pleasant surprise that's what we got! Our rooms were clean and comfortable. One night we did have a slight flushing problem with the toilet they came right away and fixed it. One day our keys stopped working but again quickly resolved. They were working on elevators so you either had to give yourself more time to wait (we were only on the 4th floor so we often took the stairs). We only ate at the ocean side café - the drink prices were pricey but the food portions were huge.

Never ever go their bad energy super expensive can't get any thing done I have to switch room because of the condition and I didn't get what I ask for
