Initially disappointed. Booked single bed (king) room and had confirmation to that effect. On arrival was told only two doubles available. Argumentative welcome. This was my only issue with front desk staff. Otherwise very good. Restaurant and Bar staff, service and food all incredible. Beach, pool, whirlpool all great. Bathrooms could use update. Beds excellent. Balcony view of ocean great. Andy and Omar at the front door were amazingly helpful at all times.

I think the hotel is nice and the staff is very helpful. The food prices in the hotel are a bit pricey but overall I had a nice stay.

Pros: Comfort, view of the ocean, nice staff

Room was clean and very comfortable. Staff was great. View was amazing( was upgraded to top floor ocean view when we told them we were on out honeymoon.

Pros: The pool is large and fun for kids.
Cons: The room's basic condition was subpar. Not even worth the discounted rates.
We booked after missing a flight and needing to stay in San Juan another night. The room was uncomfortable - the heat/air conditioning was hard to regulate, a flashing light connected to the fire alarm went off all night and the room - in need of modernization - lacked basic amenities such as adequate towels and a robe. The hotel was attractive outside the room, but I would never recommend this place.

On the beach

Pros: Close to the beach and airport
Cons: It would be nice if an all-inclusive option was available.
Location: It is only a 15 min cab ride to Old San Juan, and there are restaurants and hotels in walking distance.
This was our first trip to Puerto Rico and it was an overall great experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was very nice and not too crowded. Tropical drinks were somewhat expensive at $10 and up, but were well made. Our room was average, but clean and included a refrigerator. There is a market/convenient store across the street to buy drinks and snacks. We ordered breakfast from room service once and it was delivered within 30 min and very good. It was a fairly quiet hotel, but perfect for us. The hotel right next door has a bigger casino and is easily in walking distance. We paid cash for everything and did not charge anything to the room. There were no surprises at checkout and had no additional charges or fees. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

I loved this hotel! Clean. Friendly and helpful staff. They have a gorgeous pool with access to the beach. I would absolutely stay here again and again.

Tired Resort

Rooms redone, but not well and the resort is very tired. The surrounding area of Isla Verde is like Myrtle Beach- not great.

Mostly "hi's" but some "low's"

Pros: Location and front entrance staff.
Cons: housekeeping
Location: Good options for a good and affordable meal like Las Canarias Spanish style cafe, also if you catch it open: the El Churry food truck. Yum!
Great: Bellhops, Valets and doormen. Always cheerful with greetings, attentive, helpful with our bags when room wasn't ready. Very efficient. Good: Front desk staff..a bit confusing on check-in like 2 lines or 1? Still pretty quick, so it's a plus. I liked our room the first time during the week being given an ocean view on the top floor. Second stay (went to Vieques in between stays) was next to elevators so we could hear the humming but not too bad….though we were given a huge 1 bedroom suite the 2nd time. Not so good: Housekeeping. I asked for clean sheets for the pullout for our child and for the bed to be made while we were out to dinner. Got back, and pullout was untouched. Called front desk and was told that "housekeeping" noted that it was done? Well it wasn't and had to request again late at night.
