Great location, unique experiencePosted Jun 24, 2013
Pros: Location, price
Cons: Hotel staff present at all hours
Location: Old San Juan has a ton to offer.
really enjoyed our stay. Only complaint: hotel staff was only present during certain hours. However, they were kind enough to mail my phone to me after I left it in the room.

Middle of Old San JuanPosted May 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
We (6 adults) stayed here for two night prior to a cruise. We were in the middle of Old San Juan with short walks to everything we wanted to see. The room had one bedroom with a queen bed and a small main room with two sets of bunk beds, and one bath. The room was very nice but a little cramped for 6 adults and would be better suited for a family with four kids or singles trying to save money. I think the staff knew we were cramped and offered us an additional room the second night (which we took) for no extra charge. There is a common kitchen area that is available to all and is a great way to save money if one wants to cook their own meals (we made breakfast). There is also a market just down the street. The hotel staff were great. We will definately stay here again.

walking around old town, all day long tourist onlyPosted May 12, 2013
Pros: Great staff.
I booked this hotel about a month before our trip at a mid hundred dollar rate. When we checked in there, it was a total disappointment because it is more like a b&b than a hotel (entrance is like a hostel but cleaner and better looking). Staff was extremely helpful and they found us another room at another hotel in about 5 minutes at no extra cost (well in fact the rooms were available at a cheaper price online at that moment). However, the other hotel was very small too with no room to unpack so we ended up canceling this reservation altogether (thanks to hotel manager) & booked a new one (one of the chain resorts). For some reason all hotels were less expensive than they were advertising a month ago, so we stayed at a 4 star hotel at around the same price for this one. The location of this hotel in old town is great however, if you are planning to be outside all day long. Although rooms are decorated pretty nice, there is no TV, no windows (maybe except a few rooms), very small space so it is not vey suitable to relax & spend some time in the room except sleeping.

Great hotel! Excellent location!Posted Apr 26, 2013
Pros: Location and price
Cons: No parking
Location: Old San Juan right in the middle of tons of history and things to see.
The girls at the front desk were so nice and very helpful. They ordered a rental car for us and arranged for a pickup. They recommended great places to eat and nice sites to see. They were very accommodating.

Nice little hotelPosted Mar 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
The pop art hotel was very quaint and nice. The staff was extremely nice, and helpful with booking cabs, and explaining places to go in the neighborhood. While we did not spend much time at the actual hotel, it was convenient, clean, and the staff was excellent.

Good location in Old San JuanPosted Mar 16, 2013
Very helpful staff. Great for students and families looking for something within easy walking distance to places in old San Juan. A lot of it is do-it-yourself from the breakfasts, to cleaning dishes and such. If that is your attitude then this place could work out. Sometimes the toilets don't function as well or other things if you can work with the situation then Popart Hotel might work for you. We enjoyed our stay because we only used the hotel to sleep at nights.
Unique Boutique HotelPosted Mar 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a unique hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. My adult son and I stayed there for two days as we explored the town. The structure is very old and each room is unique. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The open kitchen where you can prepare your own meals or get coffee any time of day is a unique feature and opportunity to meet other guests--from the US, Canada, Asia, and Haiti while we were there. It's kind of like a youth hostel for people of all ages. Don't go there looking for standard comfort and amenities. It's a place to go for an experience.

Quaint place, very comfortable, super staffPosted Feb 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the stay. Room was cool and comfortable, the decorations throughout we're funky and enjoyable. Taxi driver had a hard time finding the location from address alone; print out a Mapquest map to show the driver and should be me problem. Do NOT drive your own or rental in Old San Juan - there is no parking to be found. Really. Hotel has a minimal do-it-yourself breakfast.
